"I am zero but sometimes Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala makes me to be soemthing" Sidi as-shaykh Muhammed Nazim daman barkum aliyyah says this often, some person asked what the wisdom of these sayings were th venerable and esteemed shaykha wa wali said " allahu wahid ahmadur rassolullah (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam)! subhanallah" and then the shaykah left. those that understood were so ;D+amazed at the shaykhs answer, but the brother still didnt quite get it, so some time later he asked Madade haq Allama as-shaykh sayyed Muhammed Hishaam Naqshbandi for the answer, which was reliped to like this "the shaykh is nothing "0" = zero, but when he is with Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala "who is wahid" = 1, then the shaykh is something 1 and zero = 10, then if you ad another zero 9another shaykh) it becomes 100 and another shaykh ie another zero it become 1000 then you add another shaykh (another zero) = 10000, this is the essence of sufi brotherhood and association amongst all the shuyukh of islam. they are all nothing meaning they left their egos so allah has made them sothing.

You have the right to love you shaykh with all you heart but you should repsect other shaykhs to this is the esence of this wisdom from mevlana Shaykh
