Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Imam sahib,
I have some query on dua for marriage
"Recite Surah 'Alam Nashrah' 17 times in such a way that after each verse say the name of the one you love, and his mothers name, and your name and your mothers name, and then recite:
'allahumma alqi muhabbatann 'ala qalbinn
When the surah is complete, then blow what you have recited onto a whole black pepper, and burn it on a coal.) "
Is this dua only for girls or boys can also do? If so, is there any change in procedure/reading for boys or the same?
Please clarify.

All Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam
This is the same for boys as well as for girls. But remember such actions are given to people in certain circumstances, and depends on the situation they are in. It would never work for a person who just tries it for fun, or has not been authorised to do so. Therefore it is imperative that the seeker discloses his position, informs me of his circumstances, and then acts, otherwise it would never work for anyone and everyone.
