Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
I pray you all are in the best of health and imaan, Ameen.
I read somewhere quite a while ago that Hazrat Salahuddin Ayyubi Rahmatullahi 'alayh was a sufi, is this true?
It hurts a lot of deviants when you say this to them ;D
Jazakallah khairun

Salam,
Hazrat Salahuddin Ayyubi Rahmatullahi 'alayhwas a great muslim general and king, if thats the same personality you are referring to.
He spent all his life, defending the muslim honor from crusades and he live'd a life of extreme simplicity, like devarishs, after he died, there was not enough money at his home to buy the cloth of his coffin. Such a life cant be spent by anyone but an extremely pious person.
Ps, what deviants have grudge against him and why?
Regards Wasalam

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Hazrat Salahuddin Ayubi Radi Allahu anhu are without a doubt one of the best Warriors of all time and well known across the globe. They bought justice to everything and everyone and they lived in the golden age of Sufism, I believe at the same time of Hazrat Ghous E Azam Radi Allahu anhu
When people think of Sufis, maybe they think of dervishes going around or something but a true sufi is a true Muslim, both are the same thing, you cant be a Sufi without being a Muslim but a very intelligent brother has an excellent signature which describes a Sufi perfectly, and this also describes Hazrat Salahuddin Ayubi Radi Allahu anhu perfectly, next time I see the brother, whose sig Ive used, I shall thank him on your Behalf ;D
'Woe to you! You claim to be a Sufi, yet you are impure! The Sufi is one whose inward and outward have become pure by following the Book of Allah and the Sunna of the Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam. As his purity increases, he further emerges from the sea of his existence and gives up his will, choice, and volition - My Master Sheikh Abdul Qadir al Jilani Radi Allahu anhu'

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Salahuddin Ayubi Rahmatullahi 'alayh was a true Ahle Sunnah wal jamaah(sunni) muslim and one that had great respect for Aulya Allah.
I have read that he visited either the mazaar of Gous ul Azam Radi Allahu anhu or something/body with connection to the Hadrat Gous ul Azam Radi Allahu anhu to gain blessings before taking on the crusades/enemy and defeating them.
Allah knows best.
