Asalamaikum
I wanted to know what i should do in the following situation
I work in Chorley and there is no Sunni Masjid close by my work. Closest i can think of is in Preston.
I dont have enough time during Lunch to go to Preston Pray Jummah and return to work. (I get 45mins, but this would probably take 1hr 15mins)
What would you recommend i do?
I do try and pray all other namazes, and i also have a room at work where i pray namaz. My employer is good in that sense, but the problem of Jummah still exist.
Can someone please advise?
Jazakallah

Jazakallah Wa 'alaykum assalaam Brother, you asked one of the most difficult questions. It's so difficult. Even now at uni. Courses sometimes coincide with the prayers. May Allah help us. Employers try to maintain fair rights. So reading your salah during a little break is seen as fair because others take a break to smoke or to socialize at work, or there is just no work to be done at certain times. But it becomes difficult for the employer to give only you permission for longer breaks. There's work to be done or availability is an issue because you're part of a team. Where I see a possibility is that on Friday you could start earlier (or make up for it afterwards that day) as to compensate for the time you're away for the prayers. So maybe you can use this in your negotiations with your employer. Basically you need to know first why he wouldn't allow you and then come up with alternatives for him. I pray that Allah makes it easy for us. Wassalaamu 'alaykum

Asala Malai Kum
Jazakallah for your reply.
I dont think the longer lunch is possible, because my shift changes. I cant even take extra lunch or break as i use them times to pray Asar and Magrib.
The employers have been good in the sense they have allowed me to use a room to pray, even though dont have to provide it. Plus i am the only one who uses it, so its not like they had high demand for it.
Just missing Jummah prayers is bugging me.
May Allah forgive me for missing them, i pray Zohar but its obviously not the same.

assalamualaykum,
if we can ALL pray together behind an imam for hajj/umrah why can we not elsewhere?
I would recommend you to pray behind another imam. Are there any "non sunni" mosques which are closer? i.e ahle hadeeth, deobandi, salafi etc..
Is the problem of praying Juma or is it PRAYING JUMMA BEHIND A NON SUNNI WHICH MAYBE POSSIBLE IF THE MOSQUE IS A LOT CLOSER THAN THE SUNNI MOSQUES?

If one is unable to pray Jumu'ah then Zuhar should be prayed.
As for Jumu'ah at universities, or colleges or schools, Jumu'ah is invalid there. One of the conditions of Jumu'ah is that the place where Jumu'ah is performed should be accessible to all (al-Idhn al-Am). I.e. no one should be prevented from entering the place of Salah (Radd al-Muhtar). So if a Masjid was to close their doors, then Jumu’ah will be invalid.
