Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Avon cosmetics are widely used by many I found this article/letter for you to have read through if you buy Avon Products.

RESPONSE: Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding Animal Ingredients and Alcohol in Avon Lipsticks.
Our Quality Department have advised me, Avon does not use any animal by products. Lipsticks are primarily a mixture of Oils, Waxes and Pigments. The Oils used are mainly vegetable or petrochemical origin. The waxes are natural, such as Beeswax or Petrochemical, e.g. Microcrystalline Petrolium Wax. The pigments are chemically approved for the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Industry. Some ingredients used by Avon and throughout the Cosmetic Industry are chemical derivatives of materials obtained as by-products of the food industry.
We are often asked to recommend lipsticks suitable for vegetarians. Avon's Color Trend range of lipsticks contain lanolin, which many vegetarians find acceptable because lanolin is derived from the fleece of sheep.
Alcohol is an ingredient commonly used in the cosmetics industry. The alcohol used is generally Ethyl Alcohol, which is derived from petroleum-based materials or from material grains such as starch or other carbohydrates. Virtually all Avon perfumes, Eau De Toilettes and After-shaves are alcohol based and some cream formulations also include around 5% alcohol.
Avon has a huge range of products and the range is constantly changing. Because of this, we are unable to supply a listing of individual products, which do not contain alcohol. To establish whether any Avon product includes these ingredients, you need only check the product label or the instruction leaflet, which accompanies the product. You will find all of the ingredients, listed there for easy reference.
Avon provide a 100% guarantee which states, 'if you do not like any of your purchases for whatever reason, we will replace them or give you your money back'. Therefore, any product, which is purchased, that proves to be unsuitable, can be returned for a full refund.
I trust you will find this information useful
