The Asia Times has incorrectly reported Rahman as the leader of Ansar-ul-Islam. Pir Saifur Rehman is Ahl as-Sunnah wa’l-Jamâ‘ah and has thousand of followers from berailvi sect. His followers strictly abide the basic teachings of Islam and follow Sunnah. He is famous for activating the heart of people n the name of Allah and a clear vibration in chest of his followers, can be seen. Many people has accepted Islam by watching this exceptional miracle in the name of Allah.
Though the dates vary by source, media reports agree that Rahman is originally from Afghanistan, emigrating to Pakistan's tribal northwest in the 1940s or 1970s.
Rahman's faction (identified with green flags in Bara) was opposed to, and on several occasions violently clashed with the Deobandi Muslim black-flagged Lashkar-e-Islam organization of Mufti Munir Shakir.
