Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
Abstention and Elevation
Fasting (sawm) is both abstention and elevation. It is because the fast has a higher degree than all other acts of worship that it is called "fast" (sawm). Fast that is not like any other act of worship. Every action that we do is ours except fasting, it belongs to Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa who says, "The fast is Mine" and He will personaly reward those who fast with sincerity.
An-Nasa'i Radi Allahu Anhu related that Abu Umama Radi Allahu Anhu said, "I came to the Messenger of Allah Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, and said, 'Give me something that I can take from you.' He said, 'You must fast. There is nothing like it.'"
May Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa elevate your rank through fasting!
more to come......Inshah Allah!

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
Quotation of a Divine Prophetic hadith
Imam Muslim Radi Allahu Anhu transmitted in the Sahih that Hazrat Abu Hurayra Radi Allahu Anhu reported from the Messenger of Allah Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wa Sallam that Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa said, "Every action of the son of Adam Alayhis Salaam belongs to him except the fast. It is Mine, and I repay him for it. Fasting is a protection. When one of you has a day of fasting, he should then speak neither obscenely nor too loudly; and if someone seeks to curse him or fight with him, let him say, 'I am fasting.' By Him in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, the smell of the mouth of the one who fasts is more delectable to Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa than the scent of musk. The one who fasts has two joys in which to delight: when he breaks his fast, he rejoices; and when he meets his Lord, he rejoices in his fast." (Muslim: 13:163)
May Allah Subhaanahu reward you immensely for bearing the smell of the mouth while fasting!
To be continued......Inshah Allah!

SubhanAllah Great Post
Hazrat Ibn E Abbas radiallaho ta'ala anhuma narrates that the Master of Madinah sallalaho alaihe wasallam said, "When the people that fast get out of their graves on the day of judgement, the sweet smell of musk (fragrance) will be coming out of their mouths. A table spread from paradise will be placed before them on which they will eat and they will all be under the shade of the Throne of Allah Ta'ala (Arsh)." (Gunyat ut Taalibeen)

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH
Fasting is the only method whereby the pangs of hunger, the ever present companion of the poor, are experienced by the rich. Thus this experience kindles a spirit of kindness to the poor and distressed. It also gives rise to the thought of how people will fare on the Day of Resurrection, when the greatest urge of hunger and thirst will be felt.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
From the Blessed words of Sayyidinah Rasulullah Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wa Sallam we know that "Fasting" is equal to half of "Patience" and "Patience" is equal to half of "Iman", therefore "Fasting" is equal to one fourth of "Iman". Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa says through the Blessed mouth of His Beloved Nabi Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wa Sallam: " Every good deed will be rewarded from ten to seven hundred fold except fasting which is endured for my sake and which I shall reward."
Sayyadinah Rasulullah Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wa Sallam has said: "Verily paradise has a gate (special gate) which is called Al-Rayyan through which no one shall enter except those who have observed the fast."
On another occasion Sayyidinah Muhammad Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wa Sallam has said: "Everything has a gateway and the gateway of worship is fasting." And again He said: 'The sleep of the fasting man is worship."
Here we must be careful not to sleep unnecessarily while fasting.
More to come.......Inshah Allah. Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH
Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam said, "Fasting is half patience. There is alms (zakat) due on all things and the zakat of the body is fasting." In another Hadith it is reported that Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam said, "Sleeping is worship for one who is fasting, his silence is rosary (tasbeeh), and all his deeds are accepted."

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
70,000 veils removed when breaking the Fast and the Vision of the Divine Beauty.
When Ramadhan Begins the gates of paradise are Opened
Hazrat Musa Alayhis Salaam was given a conversation with Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa on Mount Sinai; You have your own Mount Sinai, at the time of breaking fast when you can hold a thousand and one conversations with Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa . Hazrat Musa Alayhis Salaam said 'O my Lord, you speak to me, will you not show me your beauty'. Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa said you shall not see me. How can you see when there are 70,000 veils between Us. But a gift for the last Ummah which I have called Ramadhan, I shall so manifest myself at the time of breaking fast for the Last Ummah. Whereas between you and Me there are 70,000 veils. There will be no veils at all between Us and the Last Ummah, at the time of breaking fast.
'The fast is for Me, and I will reward it' - So the reward is the Vision of the Divine Beauty.
This is why Sayyidinah Muhammad Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wa Sallam has said, "The one who fasts has two joys in which to delight: when he breaks his fast, he rejoices; and when he meets his Lord, he rejoices in his fast." (Muslim: 13:163)
More to come.......Inshah Allah.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
Fasting is the cure of the nafs.
When Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa created the Nafs He asked who it was.
The nafs arrogantly replied, "the same as you."
So Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa burned it for 1000 years and asked asked again who it was.
Again the nafs arrogantly replied, "the same as you."
So Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa froze it for a 1000 years and asked asked who it was and got the same arrogant reply.
Finally Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa starved the nafs for 1000 years and then asked, "Who are you?"
It replied humbly, " Your mere servant and you are the Lord of the Worlds."
So Fasting affects the nafs (EGO) severely, it humble it and gives the Spirit (SOUL) more freedom. Most of us live our lives following of Egos, but when we fast it allows us to be more obedient slaves of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa.
More to come.......Inshah Allah.

Abu Umama reported: “ I came to the Messenger of Allah and said: ‘Order me to do a deed that will allow me to enter Paradise.’ He said: ‘Stick to fasting as there is no equivalent to it’. Then I came to him again and he said: ‘Stick to fasting’”. [Ahmad, an-Nasa’I, and al-Hakim].
Sahl ibn Sa’d reported that the Prophet (SAW) said: “There is a gate to Paradise that is called ar-Raiyan. On the Day of Resurrection it will say: ‘Where are those who fasted?’ When the last one has passed through the gate. It will be locked.” [al-Bukhari and Muslim].
