Rabbi Ul Noor Shareef Mubarak to everyone!
I Pray that you are all well and in the best state of Imaan, Ameen!
Alhamdulillah now this blessed month has started, the majority of towns will have Jalooses Inshallah, as far as I am aware the majority of Jalooses that take place dont have many Sisters partcipating,
Do you think Sisters shoud take part in these Jalooses?

not really but then again i would like to join one as women do participate in protests without a problem.
then again in jalooses men pray loudly which women can't do as i read in another thread that it is haram for a ghair mehram to hear a womens voice when praying or something similar.

I mean in sense of promoting our Deen there will be those Sisters that do not take part, and the non muslims start saying that women are opressed the non-muslims will always say we are oppressed are we here to please them or Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'alai will be taking my boys Inshallah to atleast see the jaloos if they aren't attending as am not sure when and how long it's going to be this year yet. |

ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa SallamI would not like to attend not because I do not want to be part of the celebration or happiness as there are many other ways I can express my love and happiness such as mehfils at home, cooking and sending niyaaz to neighbours and mosques. We would have to take into consideration of dress ettiquettes for our younger sisters, then there is non mehram issues, the young baby/children issues. Once again Islam has given freedom to us Women I think the non muslims are well aware now that Muslimahs are not oppressed in any way.  My father did not allow it and I was happy just to see the procession through my window! Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Alhamdulillah, Indeed we are all here to only attain the pleasure of Allah Ta'lah, so wont we also be attaing the pleasure of Allah Ta'lah by attending a Jaloos which is for His Subhanahu wa Ta'ala most beloved of all creations, Hazoor e Paak Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
What if by going to these Jalooses a Muslim Sister can inspire/encourage others to celebrate Milaad Shareef, use it as a form of Dawah
given its all done within the correct dressing ettiquettes in Islam

I think women should certainly be allowed to take part in Jaloos.

i don't think the idea for a separate jaloos for women would quite work out as it's not befitting for a muslimah to walk down the streets if they can't actually sing any naat's or salams.
also if there was a joint jaloos then women could become a distraction and Islam does not encourage the showing off of it's muslim women.

The reference I can think of us when Hazrat Umar-e-Farooq Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu stopped women from going to the masjid, never mind walking on the streets, women weren't allowed to go to the masjid, they were ordered to stay at home. Even in them times, imagine the state of today and some one like them incharge?
Women and men mixing is haram anyway, and if you argue that sister could be at the back that is still wrong.

This ruling was implemented in their Caliphate, and has carried on all them years. If they was allowed then I am sure they would have been doing it all them years, but no they havent, we shouldnt bend the rules of Shariah for our own desires! |

I also think women should not be allowed to juloos(sorry sisters), but instead of juloos there should be more women Mehfils especially on the Meelad julsa.
P. After the Melaad Juloos on 8th March in blackburn men will have their Jalsa at Randal St Masjid and women will have a Jalsa at the same time at Noorani hall(which is about 25 metres away
