ma3shallah the trip was very tough, but good al 7amdulillah. Alot has changed in cyrpus maulana Shaykh only comes out after asr salah to take a trip out most;ly to look at the new dargah in the mountains or you can catch him for jumma and jumma suhbet. My personal thought (especially for anyone going first time) is to go on wednesday and return on sunday, so you get thursday zikr, jumma and you can do the ziyarats onthe saturday then home on sunday. maulan in himself was awesome, His mind is still so fresh and he was very funny and quick whitted, but he did say the following: tell people that hadret ali kareallahu wajhu ta3ala wajha hul kareem stated that "iyyamun naas! that majority opf people were sleeping! and the Blessed beloved of allah sallahu alahi wa tasleem stated "in tabahu" be aware or be awake, because if you are alseep you will miss so much, Oh muslims be aware! if there are any mistakes in these word then they are mine and not the shaykhs Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhumashallah brother, what did you mean when you said is was tough, was it the heat?also did you sleep in darga?i know moulana just come's out of asr salat..they not getting any younger... you're right there are thing's that have changed under the cover's,if you know what i mean. is brother buraq and green shaykh still there? also keep in touch on here in msgs pls

salaam yes shaykh burakuddin is still there, may allah bless him. he is one of those close to shaykh because of his blessings, help and steadfastness i was abale to have a private sitting with maulana. Unfortunately there is alot of peoples politics there, and the shaykh's secutary does not help matter (i really do not want to go into details in a public forum as what is said or done in private, should in most cases stay in private out of fear of causing fitna), suffice to say i was told to after zuhr salah to see maulana when i was due to leave at 1 pm to head to head back home! And how i saw some brothers being treated left a sour taste in my mouth, but this is all the microcasm of ego training that you find in durgah's!
I satyed in the dargah (as i always do) and trust me there are charactors there that are very challanging both physically and mentally and i can see how some people would struggle. thats why i suggest that anyone going should go for a few days at a time, but hay maybe i am wrong !
I am planning to head out to cyprus at the end of oct or early nov 2010 if anyone wants to come!

Subhanallah, sounds like a really good trip, please keep us posted.
Unfortunately, I think Pir Politics are everywhere, some people get too excited, you find them where ever there is a shaykh, ready to cause fitna, sad really..

yes brother here i must agree with both of you i have a term which i coiuned for it "mareed syndrome" namely my shaykh is the best, he is the qutb or gaus, so theirfore i am the best or we mureeds are the best, not taking into accouint the spiritual assemblies or that there is not just 1 alim , 1 sufi or 1 wali
