Assalaam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah hi wa Barakatahu!
Maaf karna Imam saheb ke mein itne saare sawaal post kar rahi hoon. I really like your proper answering on all the questions posted here, so that's why. And because I'm a girl, I don't get the opportunity to tell my questions to an imam or maulana in real. So I'm really happy that you have made this possible for all of us.
I was in Q&A other sects, when something popped up in my mind. I used to know this person which was kinda brainwashed by all the things these wahabi put on the internet. I live in Holland and my ancestors were from India. We do Fatiha with food and water. So whenever my dad recites the Quran, after that he does Fatiha with something sweet (mithai) and water. Now that person I was telling you about, was saying this was biddat. Well I'm not that susceptible to these kind sayings, so I don't believe it's biddat. I don't know about other ethnicities, like arabs, but the only thing I was wondering why we Indians and pakistani's do fatiha with food. What is the background of it, I'm particulary referring to the use of food and drinks while doing Fatiha.
Now I have another question. That same person was telling that 786 is biddat, becoz only indians and pakistani's use it for Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. And that there was no use of 786 in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam). I don't fall for this, becoz I know about the numerical values for the arabic alphabet. I don't doubt the use of 786, but again I'm wondering what the background is of 786. Why we use it, and who first started using it.
Thank you again in advance!!!
