Working: IT support for checkout of pubs and clubs

Would it permissable for me to work for a company that is a supplier of IT hardware, software and services to the bar, restaurant and leisure sectors. If I was working on the IT help desk.

Yes this is permissible. Since your company does not focus on only providing to bars and restaurants, but it is the bars and restaurants which have an option to buy from you, then you are not at fault. It is the non Muslims who are benefiting from a service provided by you, and this is normal.
