Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'allah for your question and Alhamdu Lillah, I am fine, and your supplications and Du'as are reaching me in every way. Further to your question, in relation to the dressing of the blessed wives of the Most Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam then I have in fact given an answer with references, to a similar question that was previously asked. Please could you refer to it, in the Ask Imam -Womens archive, under 'purdah and niqab. I hope that it may be of some use to you. If the answer is not satisfactory, then please refer back to me with your further specific request. In relation to the madhhabs (schools of thought) and their way of dressing, then it must be remembered that the madhhabs were something that were followed after the time of the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. They had deriven their sources from the sunnah of the Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, as the sunnah was not from a madhhab, as the Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam's time was earlier. However, all the madhhabs are correct, and true. Not one of them is wrong, as they did not sway away from the sunnah, and they were the ones holding the greatest authority at their time. May Allah the Almighty give us all the opportunity to understand the religion of Islam, in the best possible manner.Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
