Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
dear imam sahib i do dua that you are in the best of health and that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala keeps your iman and ilm strong.
my question is are premium bonds allowed in Islam?
my husband would like to buy some but would like to make sure before buying them if it is ok to do so.
premium bonds have no risk to your money and i don't think it is a form of gambling but thats where we get a bit confused.
please do clarify if you know whether it is halal or haram to buy them.
Jazakallah Khair

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam As long as those premium bonds are not interest based, you get back what you originally invested, and the gains are from the investment of a particular business, then this is fine. In addition to this, you should have access to your bonds at any time, then this is permissable (i.e.ja'iz). Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
