Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuRight everyone please have a think about this. What annoys you the most during jamat, and affects your concentartion. Heres mine; 1] people who burp loudly 2] people who stand with their feet very wide apart as if they have a right to stand on the whole musalla on their own 3] people who always fidget, and move their hands everywhere when they shouldnt

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuThere are things like this that distract me in my Salaat but I feel it is more a shortcoming on my part than anything else Their Namaaz is theirs and mine is mine. If I can't concentrate because of their fidgeting etc, then that is a problem with myself. Perhaps their fidgeting etc is Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala's way of testing us? When I am in this situation I try to remember those great Sahaba and our Beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam who would stop in the field of battle to perform their Salaat, now talk about distractions. Fi Amanillah

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuSometimes kids who stand in the saffs and make a lot of noise and giggle, tend to spoil my concentration, this is not good for us. Parents should take more responsibility at their behaviour. You just wander what would they be like in their own homes if they behave like that inside Allahs house ?

Fi Amanillah Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAn interesting thread br WSohail, those are my pet hates too. A very good response brother Muhammad Suhayb. When you stand in sallat one has to remember that they are standing in front of Allah azawajal, there are always going to be distractions but it is upto us to maintain our concentration. Its a shame because some people never learn the adab of standing in sallat /
