Assalamu alaikum My question relates to halal or haram earnings. I recently, got a job a few weeks ago working for a credit card company. My job role is working as a technical adviser, which means i deal with enquirers about faults in relation to business's CHIP & PIN machine/card machine. In the future, my manager may train me to deal with financial queries about statements which may show interest added on a business account. Is it permissible for me to work, in this establishment? and will my earning be halal or haram? Because i have been stressing over this situation, i have applied for jobs else where, but it is proving difficult. Please, can you email your response and advise me what i should do. Jazakallah Kher,
Wassalaam.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam It is o.k., try not to worry too much about whether you gain interest, or whether you take interest. Because you dont, the company does. Keep trying for alternative jobs, something in which your mind will be inclined to Allah the Almighty, His Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, and His Commandments. Remenber that temporarily, you are not earning haram money, that the money you earn is halal, but keep the search up, if it makes you feel better on the inside. If people became too picky about the interset they inheritted, then there is not a single item in the supermarket, that has'nt had a bit of interst involved in it. Everything has had a bit of interest, but we are not the ones who took it, or gave it, we merely have to survive, and find a middle way out of it, insha'Allah. Make du'a to Allah the Almighty, that He places you in a better position than that you are in, and dont forget to pray those 5 times salah, and Qur'an. Insha'Allah, He will come to our assistance! Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
