At first I thought it was mocking and could be seen as offensive towards those sisters who do wear the niqaab.
I voted all depends on the intention of the creator.
Is the creator trying to give an image of Muslim women to be oppressed ?
or
Is he/she trying to say that Muslim Women are powerful and strong (which we naturally are ) as Ninja's are experts in martial art so I go with the latter and take it as a compliment.

Whats the creator of this cartoon trying to say?
is he objecting to their dress sense?
or, is he suggesting they are very good at a far eastern martial art form that has roots in witchcraft?

I am sorry but i find it offensive, It is offensive and mocking to all of our sisters who wear the niqab. as for the intention of the person who created it, Allah knows.
Yes we can laugh at ourselves and joke but not in this way,the way Allah and the Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam intended, to gaurd our modesty and respect our sisters.

As-salaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu As-salaatu wasalaamu alaika Yaa Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam I'm afraid I agree with brother PBUH. I cringe when people refer to sisters/ladies wearing niqaab/veil as 'ninjas'. Seems as though everything is becoming a joke - you have the cartoons as an example and perhaps a lot more. Its not only young girls who may veil but mature women and the wives of Shuyukh. I wouldn't refer to the dress like that. 'O Prophet! Tell to your wives, and daughters and Muslim women, that they should keep putting a part of their wrapping covers over their faces. This is nearer than this that if they are recognized, they should not be annoyed. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. " www.ahadees.com/english-surah-33.html"O Prophet! Tell your wives, your daughters and the women of the Muslims that (when they go out) to cast their cloaks over themselves. This way they will easily be recognised and they will not be harassed" (33:59) Translation of the verse taken from the chapter on veil from the book: "The Status of a woman in Islam in the light of the Qur'an and Sunnah" - Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada. I have voted for funny, nothing wrong about it. A women in a niqab looks like a ninja, that's a fact. That's not funny but the combination with the posture is...

Is this a case that we can laugh if a muslim makes mockery of us, but call foul if a non-muslim makes fun ?

I find this very offensive and mocking, yeah sometimes I just put my head down and get on with it, but admitfully its very hurtful Not mocking for me, but the women of the Ansaar! Narrated Aisha Radi Allahu anha, Ummul Mu'minin: "Safiyyah Radi Allahu anha, daughter of Shaybah, said that Aisha Radi Allahu anha mentioned the women of Ansar, praised them and said good words about them. She then said: 'When Surat an-Nur came down, they took the curtains, tore them and made head covers of them.'" (Sunan Abu Dawud Shareef: Book 32, Number 4089) It things like these that make it right for the non muslims to make fun of us Shame on the person who made this picture

spot on brother salman, if a nonmuslim said muslim ninja we would get upset but when we say it we see it as a joke, well thats why we are taken as jokes by none muslims, you dont like others calling our sisters ninjas then dont say it yourself and encourage others by sayin its just a bit of fun cos to you it is but not to the women who wear it.
