assalamu alaikum,
if one is alone and one expects someone to join jamaat i.e he is stuck in traffic can that person pray as if in jamaat saying takbeers loudly when going into sijdah, ruku etc.. and then can the individual who arrives a bit late (i.e stuck in traffic) join the prayer as a jamaat alongside that individual?
in simple terms MUST 2 persons be present for jmaaat at takbir oola (first takbeer)??

assalamu alaikum,
does anyone have knowledge to prove this act as being allowed as doing jamaat with follower joining imam during the prayer and not at first takbeer at start

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
A quick google says a minimum of two people is required, but maybe ask your local mosque if you need a quick answer.

assalamu alaikum,
JAZAKALLAH. I understand that 2 are required BUT if one starts knowing that the follower most likely will turn up in i.e 2nd/3rd rakat CAN the follower join in Forming a janmaat.
i think we should ask this to our imam. can somebody forward this question to him?
