Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Hope your well Maulana Sahib.
I just want to ask where do the two practises of Naqshbandi Hadra and Qadri Baghdadi Rateeb come from?
Can you please provide some referances where it comes from and what are the spritual beinifits??
Does Ahle Sunnah allow it?
Wasalamu Alaykum

the hadrah comes from hadret shaykh abdul Qadir Jaylani "wardul baghdad" (The rose of baghdad) and the seal of sainthood the purfect wali qadda salla sirru
there are a number of referrence of the hadrah but the main source is founf in musnadi ahmed, there is a hadith is related from umm al mu'minee sayyida Aisha saddiqa salamunah alaiha, who narated that one day some people come from abbysinia and she (may allah bless her) was observing over the righ shoulder of the Beoloved of Allah may allah be pleased with him and they were making zikr and dancing, hadret Qadi Ayad ibne musa yahsubi in tafsir of this hadith says that the dancing referred to in this hadith is "hadrah". also there is reference from imam hajjar askalani that states that venerable and noble shaykh shaykh izzuddin abdus salaam and shaykh ataullah iskanderi may allah bles then partook in the hadrah of the shahdiliyah tariqah.
Done in the presence of a qualified shaykh and wali it is an extremely powerful zikr
