Everyday at a fixed time and fixed place read Darood/Salavat 11 times. Surah Rehman 3 times daily Darood/Salavat 11 times. I started doing this wazifa for marriage few days ago. And now i am feeling severe pain in my shouiders and back. I read this wazifa on a website. I am also doing another wazifa(given to me by an alim) for the same marriage purpose. Today i read somewhere that you cannot do two wazifas at the same time for the same purpose. So should i just stop this wazifa of surah rehman without completing it (as i read it on a random website) or continue it?? Please anyone do reply

Assalamualaykum I find all people making comments about seeking permission? My question to all of you is permission from who? An imam ? Has allah not given you his permission to do zikr allah much in abundance in fact ! Did the prophet sa.w. not mention to do zikr of allah to the point where people think that you are mad or insane? Perhaps yiur side effect are from your qarin who will be well suppressed by your zikr of allah ... The quran does not set any limits on your zikr of allah. Maybe your side effects are a state of mind or maybe as explored it may not suit thd shaytan... as for permissions allah is your permission and the quran should be your guidance for the prope saw said thst towards the end times the blind will lead the blind so be cautious of this we know this will Come....an Imam is not always an authority on permissions of zikr.furthermore who sets these limits that you count ? Did allah give yiu them? Did the prophet saw teach you them? Or are they an innovation? Did you not learn from the story of harut and marut? What makes you think counting zikr makes it more acceptable than performing zikr and making dua....it is like saying that allah only answers those that follow these practices.....zikr is not a means to obtain your desires by uttering words like a wizards chanting but a remembrance and thankfulness of allah....and who better to know your heart than allah....as for people mentioning doing zikr at set times and one that makes me laugh a little WEAR THE SAME CLOTHES ! tge only set time thst i know according to quran and sunnah is the last third of the night as anyone here who follows tge quran and sunnah should know! So be careful follow the quran and sunnah and don't be mislead by those who think they know.....may Allah protect us all my brothers and sisters in islam from the fitna of the end days .....ameen

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Rahim
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Here it is about the side effects of certain wazaif (recitation of some verses or phrases to seek help and favor from Allah Ta'ala) that was discussed, the reason why the need for permission was advised. It is absolutely not about any specific permission to do Zikrullah that was discussed.
Wazaif involves invoking of Allah Ta'ala for help and favor while Zikr is remembering Allah Ta'ala to thank Him for the multiple favors he bestowed upon us, to earn His blessings, to earn His pleasure or to get closer to Him. Everything is as per one's intention.
In a general sense the difference between Wazifa and Zikr can be summarized as the difference between sipping and drinking. When one is seeking treatment one needs to respect the prescription and the dosage by the specialist and when one is thirsty one is not bound by prescription or dosage but by one's capacity to take whatever amount one can feel comfortable with.
Salaat is also Zikrullah but still Allah Ta'ala makes a distinction betwen Salaat (Prayer) and Zikr (Remembrance) in the following verse of the Qur'an:
[Surah al Noor 24, Verse 37] (Are) Those men, whom neither any bargain nor any trade distracts from the Remembrance of Allah and from establishing the prayer and from paying the charity – they fear the day when the hearts and the eyes will be overturned.
The Prophet (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam) indeed said that but one needs to understand in which context the words crazy, foolish and mad have been used.
The Prophet (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam) said: udhkur Allaha hatta yaqulu majnun "Remember / mention Allah as much as you want, until people say that you are crazy and foolish" [Narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad, Ibn Hibban in his Sahih, and al-Hakim who declared it sahih]
Abu Sa'eed al Khudri (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) narrates from the Prophet (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam)who said: Do Dhikr so much that people start calling you Majnoon (mad) [Tafsir ul Qurtubi, Volume No. 14, Page No. 197]
This is the proof of the state that is called wajd (ecstasy) which is attained during Zikr sessions. It must be noted that even if one does Zikr in abundance all his life one will never experienced the state of ecstasy as long as it's not done the proper way.

Remember Allah profusely.[Sural al Ahzab 33, Verse 41] Hazrat Jabir (Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "The best way to celebrate the remembrance of Allah is to say: La ilaha illallah (there is no true god except Allah)."[Riyad as-Salihin, Book 16, Hadith 1437] Put yourself to test by acting upon the above verse and hadith and recite La ilaha illallah without limit for several days and see the result for yourself.
