Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Ala Hazrat, Azeem Ul Barkat, Imam E Ishq E Mohabbat, Mujaddid E Deen O Millat, Imam E Ahle Sunnat Maulana Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Alayhir Rahmah was once invited to the house of a certain person. They had a provided a palanquin ( a chair which is decorated with flowers etc with four poles). Ala Hazrat Rahmatullahi 'alayh got onto this palanquin and took his seat. Four workers arrived and picked up the palanquin on there shoulders and started to walk with it. They had only travelled a short distance when Ala Hazrat Rahmatullahi 'alayh called out “stop the palanquin..” Ala Hazrat Rahmatullahi 'alayh got off and asked the question “tell me truthfully which one of you is a syed, I can smell a syeds scent.”
One of the workers stepped forward and said that he was a syed. He had barely finished his sentence that the Great Mujaddid took off his Imamma Shareef and put it near the feet of the Syed. Tears were flowing from the great Imams blessed face and he was pleading. “Dear prince please forgive me. I have unintentionally made a mistake. Oh how dreadful. I rode on the shoulders of that persons whoms blessed slippers are my crown. If on the day of Qiyamat the Noble Prophet Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam asks me Oh Ahmed Raza were the delicate shoulders of my son there to carry your transport, then what answer will I give?”
After asking for forgiveness on many occasions Ala Hazrat presented his last wish. “Dear prince the only way to recompense for this mistake is that you sit in the palanquin and I carry it on my shoulders.” Upon hearing this many people starting to cry and screams could be heard from a distance. After refusing many times the prince decided to sit on the palanquin. What a scence it was!!! The blessed Imam was carrying the prince just to gain the pleasure of the Beloved of Allah Azawajul.
