Why you should celebrate prophet's birthday. Assalamo Alaikum brothers and sisters, and the best way to celebrate the blessed Prophet’s advent is to “obey him”—which means to act upon the SAME book of Allah that he left for us all, the book that he himself followed and commanded his companions to follow. We have the Book with us 24/7---perfectly preserved, without change or contamination. Let’s make it our bread and butter, our sleep and wake, our living and dying. The supreme way to love the prophet (sws) is to follow the Qur’an to the utmost ability of our lives. 6:162 (Y. Ali) Say: "Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds: A Power Point Presentation on “Why Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace be upon him)?” has been posted on the following websites. You may down load the presentation and distribute to as many Muslims as you can. For PDF format, please visit, www.jamatahlesunnat.ca/whyeidmiladunnabi.pdf. Insha Allah, you will be rewarded by Allah for spreading the truth and helping in removing the ignorance and arrogance from the society. Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuOn the www.jamatahlesunnat.ca/ the following sub link ( www.jamatahlesunnat.ca/intro.htm) talks about What is Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama’at? The author of the article mentions that Sunnis are also subdivided into several sub-denominations: Brelvi Wahabi Salafi (also called Ahle Hadith) Deobandi Parvezi Mahdawi Hanafi Maliki Shafe’ee Hanbali
We must be careful on this issue. What we must understand is that in the first four mentioned above, three are only Sunnis by fiqh and only the first (Barelvi, denomination attributed to Sunnis following the teachings of Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Faazil e Barelvi (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu)) is Sunni by both fiqh and aqeedah. Hanafi, Maliki, Shafee'ee and Hanbali are mazhabs and not firqas. Some preachers on the other side mislead and confuse people by mixing mazhab with firqa in their attempt to make them believe that following a mazhab is wrong...etc.

Parvezis cannot be Sunnis as their corrupt belief is that the Prophet Muhammad (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi wa Sallam) is neither the sole expositor of revelation nor the primary source of knowing how the revelation should be acted on by believers. They also reject the authority of ahaadith, referring to them as unacceptable fabrications in the religion.
