Sounds like a good course -especially if you do it online.
I would have serious doubts about actually attending though as they seem to be deobandis judging by some of their articles and links

It is good if everyone learnt arabic as it will surely help there Eman, as they will hopefully understand the Qu'ran better.
I think Arabic should be introduced into the national curriculm at schools esp with high Muslim population as alternative to English Literatire and French and Spanish - WHAT GOOD ARE THESE OTHER LANGUAGES ANYWAY.

Learning arabic is fine, but what about learning urdu first.
Most of the youth of today especially in England are brought up in western media/tv culture and lose all their roots after they start school.
Half of this youth do not and cannot speak urdu properley and the problem starts at home with the parents. They should make them learn urdu and even write urdu so hopefully they will be encouraged to go to Mosques and listen to speeches in their mother tongues.

Well said brother Walid !
Urdu and Arabic should be taught to all kids at Mosques at 6/7 yrs old.Exams SHOULD be held and certifcates and prizes given for the best performers.
Not enough Mosques are active enough in this kind of welfare and are more keen to provide sports like table tennis, badminton, and football etc.
There should be like a youth co-ordinator who knows all the kids and who should make them feel guilty in not taking part in lessons.

Is it really possible to learn a great deal of arabic inside three days ? I think the idea is to try to lure the student onto a paid course after they have had a free sample.
Well they used to tell you everything about Islam, the History,Awliya,Sufi-e-Keram etc as well as the fundamentals of urdu. I also think the quality of teachers is maybe not as good. The culture has certainley changed in the last twenty years, with possible less respect for your teachers as well as elders.

Assalamu alaikum, Well I can now say i have completed the two month course and it was absolutely brilliant! Alhamdulillah!! As it was an intensive course, alot of hard work had to be put in to it in my own time. Nonetheless, now as I have completed the course when I have nothing better to do I will be translating arabic text! inshaAllah! ;D However I have only completed the beginners course and still have much to learn, but a little knowledge is better than no knowledge! I strongly recommend this course to everyone! Mothers, fathers, girls and boys. The times allocated by the program are usually best suited for all, 3 hour weekend mornings sessions for 2 months. If your not sure then do please attend the 3 day intensive classes in London this weekend to get a taste of what it would be like to learn from Mufti Yusuf Mullan. jazakAllah khair Wassalam surriya p.s. If you would like the full address of the Tooting Islamic Centre, either reply to this post or send me a private message and I will send you the details. www.indianrestaurant.ca/full-email.jpg[/img]
