Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam It is a very important question. One which needs great emphasis and concentration, however, I will do my best to answer in the context you have asked the question.
The Beloved Prophet
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam was taught himself by Allah the Almighty. Since Allah the Almighty is the creator of schools, he did not send His Beloved Messenger
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam to a school, as He was a school, so to speak within Himself
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam.
The Beloved of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam took the Qur'an, from Allah the Almighty, via Hadrat Jibra'il
alayhis 'salam and remebered everything He was taught. He
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam then gave forth, that knowledge to His Ennobled Companions, and they to theirs and so forth.
The Qur'an al-karim has total knowledge of all sciences that exist in the world today. This is why it is stated in the Qur'an, that :
'There is nothing which is wet, and nothing which is dry, which has not been mentioned in the clear book.'
(Qur'an, 6;59)
This means that everything down to an atom, is that which Allah the Almighty taught His Beloved Messenger
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, so that He could be the Guide to mankind, and steer people away from that which is evil.
It is from this Qur'an that other schools arose. First the
As'hab-e-Suffah, then other schools of tradition, methodology, science,
fiqh, logic,
hadith, tafsir, grammar and so forth. The route essence of all these sciences happens to be the Qur'an, and it was the Qur'an which was revealed to our Beloved Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, who was taught directly from the Almighty.
All of the above proves that if Allah wishes for His Prophets [
Upon them be Peace] to be educated directly by Him, then that is what happens. There is no need for a pre-requisite in school or university for a Prophet. Nor is there the need for them to gain any qualifications, in order to retain revelation. If Allah the Almighty wills, He can teach directly whom He wishes, and thus make mankind prosper through such teachings. This is why He has stated:
'And we taught Adam all the good names'
(Qur'an, Baqarah)
In the
Sawi Shareef, it is stated that by 'all good names' means the names of everything, the names of languages, people, men, women, history, events which are forthcoming, until the day of judgement.
If one is a teacher as such for the first Prophet Adam
alayhis 'salam, then why isnt it possible that the Beloved of the End of time, the Greatest, and The Final Messenger Hadrat Muhammad
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, be taught anything inferior to that, since He was the Greatest of all Prophets?
Jazak'allah for your question.
