Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
A warning to those who refrain from giving Zakaah
Almighty Allah says;
1. " On that day their treasures will be heated in the fire of hell, and their foreheads, sides and backs will be branded therewith. (They will be told) This is what you had hoarded for yourselves. Now taste the penalty of such hoarding. " Al-Qur'an : 9:35
2. " And those who are miser in what has been given to them by Allah, by His grace, should not think that it is good for them; on the contrary it is bad for them. The riches they have piled up shall become their necklace on the Day of Judgement. " Al-Qur'an : 3:180

This is a beautiful extract about Zakat from Sunnah.org.Give In Secret One great duty is giving in secrecy, for this is farthest removed from hypocritical display and reputation-seeking. Allah says, "If you disclose your Sadaqat (alms giving), it is well, but if you conceal it, and give it to the poor, that is better for you. (Allah) will forgive you some of your sins. And Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do" (Qur'an 2:271). According to one Hadith, the Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) said, "Seven people will be shaded under Allah's Throne on the Day on which there will be no other shade: a just ruler, a young person who worships Almighty Allah, a person whose heart is attached to Masajid, two people who love one another for the sake of Allah, and who come together and part for His sake, a man who is called by a beautiful woman of good family, but refuses her, saying 'I fear Allah', a person who gives his money in charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives, and someone who remembers Allah privately, so that his eyes brim with tears."
