Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Imam sahib can you explain this hadith please.
Is this a saheeh hadith mubrak ?
Furthermore, Muhammed [peace be upon him] said that if anyone gets themselves cupped on the 17th, 19th, or 21 of the month, it will be a remedy for every disease. Abu Dawud vol.3 no.3852 p.1084
What is cupping ? And whats the importance of those dates for this practise ?
Jazakallah kahyran

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuPraise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Universe, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam)Jazak'allah for your question, and apologies for the time it has taken in answering this question. The problems were related to my machine, and have now been overcome. The hadith that you have referred to in your question is from the Sunan of Abu Da'ud, which is an important book, from amongst the six authentic books ( sihah-e-sittah) of hadith. It is a reliable source, and acting upon it would constitute complying with the Sunnah of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam)The hadith is in relation to 'cupping', which is a traditional method of drawing blood from oneself, so that he/she may be prevented from any blood related illnesses, or diseases. The method used is to tap the layer of skin with a blade type instrument on certain parts of the body, upon which a cup type utensil is placed, from which blood, is then drawn, hence the name 'cupping'. In the commentary of this hadith, in the Abu Da'ud, Imam Badr-ud Din Aiyni Hanfi writes: 'It is said that the wisdom behind stating these dates, is that at the beginning of the month, the blood is more abundant (ghalib), and lesser, at the end of it, then the middle of the month is better for it'.[Fathul Wadud] The middle, meaning that the blood is now not in it's abundance, nor is it lesser, but just the right amount, which enables the cupping to be performed, at the best stage. Subhanallah! This is the form of wisdom, the Most Beloved Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) had, when he mentioned these dates, that are recorded in the hadith. May Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) give us all the tawfiq, to keep firm upon the Sunnah of the Most Beloved Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam) throughout our lives. (Amin)Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
