Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu JazakAllah for your important question. It is not possible for a murid to have more than one Shaykh. He may become a murid, and then a taalib, in which he pledges allegiance, but then he still remains the same murid of his original murshid! This is performed by making an intention to become a taalib of another Shaykh, which means the wanter/pleader of a Shaykh, but his intention of becoming a murid will remain with his first Shaykh. May Allah the Almighty guide all Muslims on the path of tasawwuf.Jazakallah. M Waseem Ashrafi
