Respect Imaam Saheb
Assalaamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh
I've been told about a certain Wali who rejected that Ghouse-Aazam RadiAllahu anh is Sultaanul Awliya. I wanted more information about this if possible. insha'Allah.
I've been told that this is mentioned in Assiratul Asraar (Secret of Secrets).
JazaakAllahu ghair.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, Praise be to Allah (the Exalted), who is the Lord of all the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon the Beloved Prophet the Last Messenger of Islam (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam).Jazak'Allah for your question dear brother in Islam. The book that you have referred to is known as Sirr-ul-Asrar. Sirr-ul-Asrar has a biography of Sayyadina al Ghawth al-A'zam (Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu), before the actual books starts. There is a possibility, that the compiler of the biography has related a story to Sayyadina Ghawth al A'zam (Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu), yet has not made any references to it, although Sirr-ul-Asrar is a great authority for the books on tasawwuf, itself. There are stories of certain Awliya' who had been tempted to do bad things by the shaytan, and were deviated by him, as is stated in Sirr al-Asrar itself, where the shaytan had said, that you do not have to pray any more Salaah, as I have forgiven you. Upon this Sayyadina Ghawth al A'zam (Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu) recited : 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil 'aliyil 'azim'
and all the light and glory which the Shaytan had arrived in, all left him, as he ran. The thing to remember is that every Wali-ullah, has to have the confirmation of Sayyadina Ghawth al A'zam (Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu), before he even becomes a Wali, and someone who denies the position of Sayyadina Ghawth al A'zam (Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu)from the start, by not believing him to be the 'Sultan al Awliya' would have automatically been rejected the rank of Wilayah. However, in Sirr al Asrar, there are many stories about certain caliphas who rejected the Ghawth to be the Sultan al Awliya' who later met their fate. Accordingly, when they did meet it, they threw themselves at the feet of Sarkar Ghawth al A'zam (Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu), because they were in essence left with nothing. This was what type of power (qudrah), Allah the Almighty had bestowed on Sayyadina Ghawth al A'zam (Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu), in that he could give stations upon station to whomever he wanted, and he could also break the leaderships of anybody he wanted. This is what type of power Sarkar had. May Allah the Almighty, keep us all under the shadow of Sarkar Ghawth al A'zam (Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu), and may He keep us blessed by him, in this world, and the hereafter. (Amin).Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
