Looking at the Poll results so far, shows theirs a lot of pacifists here, ... so many would just ignore and turn away of being bullied .... potential sufis ?

aslaamalekum, i have viewed this thread for the past few days, but it would just not be me if i didnt reply!!! so here goes.... ive alhamdulillah not been bullied, but i remember a time in school when there was this girl who came from pakistan at the age of 13 to study here in englend, and she was absolutely frightened of all the so called ghoray at our school, most of them i would have to say were racist at that time, they were so cocky and i remeber once when she was walking down the corridor and a ghora walked passed(with his mates all fat chubby so and so's) and for no reason whatsoever he pulled her hijaab of her head(thats the head garment!) omg and she was stood there in horror and didnt do anything, and just carried on walking and they were still standing there, laughing there head off, finding it funny, i felt so bad for her( when i see things like that happen to others i feel like it happened to me!!) well anyway i went and helped her and then they were all looking at me as if i was ther next target... the ghora was in my class too so you can imagine how sacred of him i was, especially cuz he was like ten times larger than me!! well he didnt say anything to me, but his mate was walking behind me, i turned around and said to him listen yeh you might of got away with it by pulling her scarf of but i swear if that hand of yours comes any where near my head ill shove it so far up your(i dont thnk the rest of the story is necessary, lol you get the drift), thats one time that it happened in school!!!!
AND THEN YEARS LATER..... THIS IS AN INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED IN THE POST OFFICE...... well me and my mum were waiting in the que to buy some stamps, and it was a saturday so you can imagine how packed the post office is on a saturday(well thats not the point...) there was this woman in the que(aww may allah bless her ever so sweet, she did not no english, she must of been in her late 50's) and the cashier, was saying to her that she needs to pay for something that was 50 pence, well she did not know what that was, and she took all her money out of her purse, and was putting it out on the counter(i was standing way back in the que, and watching all this from behind, and said to my mum i'll go and help her, and so i went), while i was being a good muslim by helping this woman, i was translating for her, and giving the correct chang to the cashier, there was such an evil man (a ghora as usual!!!!!!!!) and he was standing behind me saying stupid paki******, and i stayed quiet, and iwas trying my best to ignore him, and he was shaking his head and everything, and poor aunty jee was ignoring him too, and the cashier said he is being really silly, none of them spoke up and he just started getting on my nerves, he was just standing there saying it really loudly too, so i turned around and said, listen mate i ain't deaf yeh! unless you want my foot down your gob, i'll advise you to shut up!, and then i stood there and he started to aplogise and the people in the que standing behind him started to laugh, and he was standing there like omg you know how to speak english??? so i did what any person would of done pushed in while i was there, and went home!!
well that me, and my bullying stories, and i have to admit one thing answering these so called bullies, is not a COOL thing, it makes us twice as bad, i absolutely, think those that walk away have a stronger character( its easier said than done though! in it?) '' who restrain anger, and pardon all men---for Allah loves those who do good''(Quraan 3:134)
inshallah may allah bless us all with patience!! ameen ya rabbal alameen!!!!!
take care sweet sisters and my brothers in islam fi aminillah

Asalaamualikum
This is a good poll! I checked "no, but will try to discuss things in a kind way", but then I remembered something. Me and my friends all carpool, so we go home together. Afterschool, we were waiting outside for our ride. We were close to the street and it was a redlight so all the cars were stopped. I noticed these two women in one of the cars staring at me and my friend (we both wear Hijjab) so I smiled at them and turned back around to talk to my friend. Then one fo the women said something so I turned around and they looked like they were laughing so I was confused. Then the woman in the driver's seat asked "Do you go to school dressed like that? If I was the principal, I wouldn't let you come in!" or was it "I would kick you out"? well i guess it doesnt really matter becuase her intention was all the same. Just then, the light turned green and they drove away laughing. I don't see what pleasure they got out of it, because it wasn't funny and she didnt make me feel inferior...like many bullies try to do. I am proud to be Muslim, and her comment isnt going to take that away.

I have never been bullied for being a muslim. Just once in 2004, when the heads of the mosques from my city were discussing in tv that they wanted different days of eid, so a girl said "muslims always make confusion"...That's all I recall. Other than that, in my city other religions are the targets...

I have never been bullied for being a muslim. Besides, my love for Prophet increased only after I started listening to naats. May Allah bless all the naat khawaans, all the ulemas of Islam, all the people who die for islam and all those who preserve deen with long life. Aameen.

I've never been bullied as I live in Bangladesh .but since I moved to England sometimes I get ripped off in shops and it is because people think that I don't know about thier country and some people stare at me as if they've never seen anyone like me before

Assalamu Alikum, I have NEVER been bullied because where I live there are lots of multiple ethnic groups. My Non-Muslim friends and I never really talk about religion. I only do that with my Muslim friends (who were never bullied either) Although I must say my uncle is really religious meaning he has a beard and wears a green turban and etc. and he does go outside but he too was never bullied ever.
