Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
We all have had some sort of illness in our lives. whether its the common cold or flu or whether it has been something more serious where you had to be admitted in hospital etc.
We all see illness in different ways to others, some of us have more tolerance and patience than others and get through our illness with ease.
Why don't you cast your vote and share your views and opinions on how you portray illness as.
Jazakallah.

Mentioning illness our Beloved Master Sayyadinah Rasoolallah said: "When a believer is afflicted by illness and Allah cures him of it, it serves as an atonement for his previous sins and a warning to him for the future." "But when a hypocrite becomes ill and is then cured, he is like a camel which has been tethered and then let loose by its owners, but does not know why they tethered it and why they let it loose." A man asked: "Yaa Rasoolallah , what are illnesses? I swear by Allah, I never fell ill." Rasoolallah said: "Get up and leave us. You do not belong to our number." From the above ahadith it is more than clear that illness is a disguised blessing for those who are not hypocrites and the Blessed Sayings of our Beloved Master Sayyadinah Rahmatul-lil-Alamine guarantees the expiation of our sins by illness. Ye Rahmat hahin hai to Phir aur kia hai. With this firm belief, whether it is punishment from Allah Azzawajal, removal of sins or testing period it is "The Will Of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa". Whenever we are ill may Allah Suhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa, through the Wasilaa e Paak of His Beloved Noor gives us tawfeeq to be thankful to Him for making us undergoing what has been guaranteed by His Beloved Nabi as an "Atonement for our previous sins and a warning for the future." Allahu Ackbar. Allahumma Salle Alaa Sayyidinah Wa Mawlaanah Raahate Qulubenaa Wa Shafie Zunubenaa Wa Tabibe Zaahirina Wa Baatinina Muhammadinw Wa Alaa Aalehi Wa Ashabehi Wa Awliyaae Ummatehi Ajmain Ilah Yawmiddeen.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
I have voted for the will of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala as nothing in this world happens except by the will of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. I was going to vote for removal of sins as I also believe this, but the removal of sins will only occur if it is by the will of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.

ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam It is the Will of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala as with everything in our lives, but I also see it as a test. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala test us, through out our lives with illnesses and suffering through other trials and tribulations as a form of seeking forgivness through repentance and prayer, leading to washing away of our sins. I voted for The Will Of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, but would have liked to have chosen 2 others as well. A great post brother Saalik.

I voted "Will of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala",
It is on the authority of Hazrat Jabir (radi Allahu anhu) that the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) is reported to have said, "There is medicine for sickness. When the sickness receives the medicine, then through the Will of Allah, the person attains cure." (Muslim)

walaykum salam, just thote ill share my thoughts with all you brothers and sisters aswell.
I see my illness or pain as an excuse from Allah for me to remember him, as I tend to become very forgetful, but then when I get ill or upset (maybe something bad happens in my life) then I straight away remember Allah, and I tend to find that I get a message from Allah when I become forgetful of him. (astagfirallah)
Pls make dua may Allah give me the ability to remember at least the minimum of 5times a day. Ameen
Jazakallah

Pls make dua may Allah give me the ability to remember at least the minimum of 5times a day. Ameen Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa SallamAmeen. Inshallah, Brother you will reach your goal. At least you are honest and realise your shortcomings. I too think illness is a test from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and that suffering is often edured as a result of the removal of sins. However, as Br. Muhammad Suhayb said, we would not encounter illness and suffering if it was not the will of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Whatever, comes our way, whether good or bad, is the will of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. It is He, and He alone who is the reliever. An informative response Br Saalik. Jazakallah for sharing.

ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
I have Voted A testing Period,As we all are aware that you get ill from The Will of Allah Azawajal. But we are also being Tested on how Much Sabaar we have.
When a person is in pain or suffering either he is a good person and his place in Jannah (Heaven) is elevated or else he is a sinner whose sins will be forgiven through this illness.
Abu Hurayrah has narrated from Prophet Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam that: "Whenever a Muslim is afflicted by illness, continuous pain, anxiety, grief, injury or by a thorn with which he is pricked. Allah Azawajal causes this to be an atonement for his sins." [Mishkat]
Abu Saeed Khudri and Abu Hurayrah narrates that the Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said: "No fatigue, disease, sorrow, sadness, hurt, or distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that." [Bukhari.7.545]

I think the Will of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala comes before any other option, although others do apply.
