Transferring data to a mobile phone via Docking station or Data cable. In this tutorial I will show you inshallah how to transfer files to a mobile phone using a docking station or data cable. I will be using a Sony Ericcson phone and docking station, since that’s what I have. If you have another phone all you need is the appropriate cable and software. What you need: • Docking station or Data cable • Transferring software (download it free from your phones manufacturer e.g. http://www.nokia.com). • Obviously a phone Step 1: Install the software onto your PC following the instructions that come with it. Once the software is installed open it, here is what the Sony Ericcson software should look like: Step 2: Plug the docking station and/or data cable into the USB Port. Then plug the cable into the phone or put the phone onto the docking station: Step 3: Go back to your software and it should have automatically detected your phone: Step 4: Now all you need to do is browse to where you want your file stored and copy the file to that location: You can do this by right-clicking the file and pressing copy and then in the phone software window right-click and select paste. Or you can drag the file into the phone software window. Then the file will transfer to your phone, all you need to do is wait: Finally watch the video on your phone!!

Transferring data to a mobile phone via Bluetooth™I will be using the XP’s built in software for Bluetooth dongle, if you do not have Windows XP SP2 then you need to install the software CD that came with the dongle and use that. What you need: • Bluetooth Dongle like this one: [a href=" "] [/a] • Windows XP service pack 2 (or you need to install the software that came with the dongle) • Obviously a phone Step 1: Plug your dongle into the USB port and wait for Windows to recognise it. Step 2: Right-click the file you want to transfer and select send to and then select Bluetooth device. Step 3: Now browse for the phone you want to send it to (my phone is called Mozy, usually they are just called K700i or S700i etc) and click next: Step 4: When your phone asks for acceptance select yes and wait till the transfer finishes. Finally watch the clip on your phone!!!
