Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuSome computers cannot load gif images... why could that be? For example: This image www.angelfire.com/il2/islamicpage/scatter2.gif I can see on my computer but someone else's computer doesn't recognize it. Strangly another picture is shown when clicking on the above link... May Allah give us knowlegde... Wassalaam

Jazakallahu khayran brother Barabar...
I expected that but how do you change the personal settings if that's the cause?

Wassalaam Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhuthe image displayed, is of that of the web host, maybe they decided to remove the image you uploaded there, or its "timed out".

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
That's the thing I don't understand brother Mahmood... When I'm at college the computer shows the image of the web host... but when I'm at home I see the right image (and thus not the image of the webhost)... very strange... surely it has nothing to do with removal our 'timing out'...
Very strange... where can you change the image settings of your computer? Does anybody know a solution?

Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuIt's nothing to do with your computer settings. What's happening to me is, when i click on the link you provided, angelfire/lycos redirect me to this link : www.angelfire.lycos.com/doc/images/rloadblock.gifwhich for some reason looks a like block to your link. The only way to bypass this, may be by copying and pasting your link directly into the address bar. But i can't do that because our forum automatically shortens the link. Try posting your link again without the www. and lets see what happens. I'll type in the www. myself. Can anyone else see the original link posted by Br.Sinner?

The link without www is: angelfire.com/il2/islamicpage/scatter2.gif
I have already tried this method but maybe sth else happens with you...
And yes that's exactly what happened at college: redirection to another link. But strangely at home I'm not redirected and I can see the desired image...
I don't get...
Thank you for helping... jazakallahu khayr... Wassalaam

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuIt's working for me too now, with the method i suggested ;D. I think the problem is that angelfire/lycos don't allow hotlinking. Anyway, this is the image:
