Does anyone go to the IJTIMA on thursday in blackburn at New Madina Masjid? i have not yet been,
wanted to know if any sunni brothers from here attend it?

I use to be a regular attender but now I go occasionally too but Inshallah am going today. The Ijtima is the Dawat E Islami Ijtima and it starts about 8pm, first they pray Surah Muzambil then a Naat, then a Biyan in english(a excellent one too), then a biyan in urdu, then Zikr, then dua and finally Salat O Salaam. It usually finishes between 9.30 and 10pm
A lot of brothers from Blackburn attend also from nelson, burnley and preston too

yeah, without sounding too rude and it is sunnat to meet in an orderly manner but sometimes I have been really stuck for time, I go to a programme thinking I will just wait for the dua and then shoot off but get held up for another hour meeting and embracing all the brothers who want to ask and repeat the same questions 3 times, 'aap kesai ho, sab theek hain, kaam kar tai ho, aur theek ho, sehat khariat hain.........''

Brother I am sure they are only being nice most of them genuinely mean it and like you said it is sunnat

its not sunnat to spend 1full hour on mulaqaat making u miss ur fajar in the morning, a quick 5min mulaqat should be ok

Brothers no one forces any of you to stay, they are only talking to you about Deen and ask you if you could come to a Kafila, and as for you brother Naseer(formerly known as MNA) you are just a ungrateful little so and so who has nothing good to say about anyone or anything, you big cry baby

I like dawat-e-islami very much, it is a very good tehreek. I am just saying about the mulaqaat bit, I say it to them aswell.
