I have been reading with admiration other peoples signatures' at the bottom of their messages, and was inspired to write this post. Some people have shers, hadiths and even Ayahs form the Qur'an al-Paak. So was wondering if people could post and share their other favourite couplets and words so others could read and enjoy. I'll start off with my favourite Mawlana Rume verse ; "Come, come, whoever you are, Wanderer, worshipper, lover of leaving, Ours is not a caravan of despair. Even if you have broken your vows a thousand times It doesn't matter Come, come yet again, come"
Message edited to include 'Thread of the Week' title.

Your remedy is within you, But you do not sense it, Your illness is from you, But you do not perceive it. You presume you are an insignificant entity, But within you is enfolded The entire universe. Thus, you have no need to look beyond yourself What you seek is within you, If only you reflect!

Mashaallah brothers some fantastic quotes.
''You've no idea how hard I've looked for a gift to bring You. nothing seemed right. What's the point of bringing gold to the gold mine, or water to the Ocean. Everything I came up with was like taking spices to the Orient. It's no good giving my heart and my soul because you already have these. So- I've brought you a mirror. Look at yourself and remember me''.

Listen to a friend, and hear a distorted idea of yourself. Listen to your enemy, and also hear something distorted. Friendship is to help us survive and to strengthen us. Opposition makes us stronger.

Brilliant thread everyone !
Here's my fav ....
Glasses are a vehicle for the eyes, the eyes are a vehicle for the mind, the mind is a vehicle for insight, and insight is a vehicle for the conscience. The conscience is an outlet through which the spirit can observe, and a vehicle through which it can see.

"If you put your whole trust in Allah, as you ought, He most certainly will satisfy your needs, as He satisfies those of the birds. They come out hungry in the morning, but return full to their nests." (Tirmidhi)

Ayat Al-Kursi
Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem
Allahu la ilaha illa hu Al-hayy al-qayyum la ta’khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-ard man dhal-ladhi yashfa‘u ‘indahu illa bi idhnih ya‘lamu ma bayna aydihim wa ma khalfahum wa la yuhituna bi shay’in min ‘ilmihi illa bima sha’ wasi‘a kursiyyuhus-samawati wal-ard wa la ya’uduhu hifzuhuma wa huwa al-aliyy al-azeem
Allah – There is no god but He, The Living, the Everlasting, Slumber seizes Him not, neither sleep, To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. Who is there that can intercede with His, except by His leave? He knows what lies before them and what is after them, And they comprehend not anything of His Knowledge save as He wills. His throne comprises the heavens and the earth, The preserving of them fatigues Him not, And He is the All-high, All-glorious.
[Al-Quran: Surat al-Baqarah, Ayah 255]

"Saying "Allah Akbar" - God is most Great" - doesn't mean he is greater than something else, because there is nothing else for him to be greater than. It means that he is too great to be perceived by the senses and too deep to be understood by the intellect. Too great, indeed, to be known by anything other than Him. Only God knows God."

To post my favourite quote, i've had to post the whole section just so everyone gets an understanding out of the quote. Amr ibn ‘Othman on Love Amr ibn ‘Othman stated the following in his Book of Love. Almighty God created the hearts seven thousand years before the souls, and He kept them in the Garden of Intimacy. He created the Secrets seven thousand years before the hearts, and kept them in the Degree of Union. Every day God caused the souls to receive three hundred and sixty glances of Grace and to hear three hundred and sixty words of Love. Every day He manifested to the hearts three hundred and sixty delights of Intimacy. Every day He revealed Beauty three hundred and sixty times to the Secrets. So they beheld every thing in the world of being, and saw none more precious than themselves. A vainglory and conceit manifested amongst them. God therefore put them to the trial. He imprisoned the Secret in the soul. He confined the soul in the heart. He detained the heart in the body. Then He compounded in them reason. God sent the Prophets with commandments. Then every one of them set about searching for his proper station. God commanded them to pray. So the body went into prayer; the heart attained Love; the soul achieved Propinquity; the Secret was at rest in Union.
