Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuThe Miracles Of Hadrat Khawaja Gharib Nawaz Chisti, Sanjri, Ajmeri, Rehmatullahi ’Alaih" Devotional approach to the saint and friendship with the hermits or dervishes attract blessings from the High" A gem of wisdom from Hadrat Khawaja Muinuddin Chisti Ajmeri Rehmatullahi ’AlaihWith the Aurs of The great saint approaching I thought I would start this thread . I know we have had some great threads on the life of Hadrat Khawaja Gharib Nawaz Rehmatullahi ’Alaih in the past, so I would do something different and post about his miracles instead. Pilgrimagge to Mecca Every year.
As is evident from his life history, Khawaja Moinuddin Rehmatullahi ’Alaih is reported to have performed two Haj pilgrimages before coming to India. But the Hajis who undertook the pilgrimage to Makka during Khawaja's stay in Ajmer bore evidence to the fact that on their return to India that they saw the Great saint In makka personally during the Hajj every year. It was indeed one of his marvellous Miracles. How could he do this feat in the absence of any modern transport 700 years ago is a mystery beyong human perception and is yet a fact corroborated by eye witness and history. During the Hajj period he was seen both in Ajmer India and in Makka. To be continued.....

yes brother Huseyin we used the word 'mojizah' for Unbiya and Rasool Alayhimus Salaam, and 'karamah' for the Awliya Allah May Allah be pleased with them all. But in the english language as far as i know their is no word that can be translated for karamah that differentiates from mojizah the nearest is miracle. Maybe the writer should when using the word miracle write next to it 'mojizah' or 'karamah'. Unless you can shed some light
Khwaja Gareeb un Nawaz Sultan ul Hind Call me to your Darbar blow on me the Ajmeri wind
You have been sent by the Prophet Nabi Alayhis Salaam to convert the idol worshippers with the message of Islam
you succeeded in your quest by converting millions to the fold Your disciples were Pillars of Islam their Iman could never be sold

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuContinued.... Jazakh Allah Khair for pointing the significance to the word Miracle brothers. I will add the word karamah to it. A Murderer becomes a Devotee. Once a person appeared before Khawaja Sahib and pretended to say that he was eager to pay homage to the great Saint on that particular day. Khwaja Sahib replied; " here I am, but first fulfill your promise that brings you here." The man began to tremble with the idea that his secret was out before he could act and, admitting his guilty conscience, he at once offered his profound apologies. As a matter of fact this man was a hireling of some enemies of Khwaja Sahib and had come with the precise attention of murdering the Holy saint- a fact which the great saint came to know by his intuitive powers. The man prayed for pardon of the Saint who forgave him magnanimously. the man then embraced Islam and became one of the devoted Mureeds of Hadrat Khwaja Moinuddin for the rest of his life. To be continued.....

Sayings of Khwaja Mu'inuddin Chishti:
A friend of God must have affection like the Sun. When the sun rises, it is beneficial to all irrespective of whether they are Muslim, Christian, or Hindu.

WHO IS KHAWAJA GARIB NAWAZ (RADI ALLAHU TA'ALA ANHU)
Khwaja Saheb was a scholar a great repute. He interpreted the true Islamic message of love for mankind and through that, the love for the Almighty creator. He preached the Quranic philosophy of the unity of religion and worked out its potentialities for the whole humanity. He was the greatest mystic of his time. He laid the foundation of the liberal Chishtia order of Sufis in India, and inspired millions of souls to be his followers and thus served the masses of the Indian Sub-continent.
The life and mission of Khwaja Saheb have been of an exceptional character as compared with any other saint in India. His simple teaching penetrated even stony heart, his affectionate look silenced the fiercest of his enemies. His matchless piety and blessings knew no distinction and his "spiritual power", amazed and did defied his bitterest adversaries who came to harm him but were inspire to embrace Islam and become his devotees for rest of the life. He brought the message of universal love and peace. He chose the way of non-compulsion in the true spirit of holy Quran he says : "Let there be no compulsion in religion, will thou compel men to become believers? No soul can believe but by the persuasion of Allah". Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty Radi Allahu anhu followed this dictum strictly throughout his mission. It is because of this reason that he is popularly known as ' Gharib Nawaz' which means the one who shows kindness to the poor. This was later reinforced by succeeding Chishtia Sufis, who became religious pioneers in national integration in the country. They fulfilled the objective of bringing together various castes, communities and races, elevating the humanity from the morass of materialistic concerns, which is the bane of mankind even today. The teachings of Khwaja Sahib have been recorded in several books on mysticism.
The essence of his teaching is :
Closest to Allah is one who possesses the following three qualities :
Magnanimity of the river Kindness of the sun Humility of the Earth Noblest of the characters is possessed by the one who is :
Bountiful in poverty Content and hunger Cheerful and grief Friendly in hostility Surest way to keep off the internal punishment in the hell is :
To feed the hungry To redress the aggrieved To help the distressed

SACRED SAYINGS
Without performing "Namaz", none can approach 'Allah' (God), because 'Namaz' is the climax (Mairaj) in the process such approach for pious. If all the rules of Namaz were not followed properly, it is struck back on the face of him who offers such a Namaz. The heart of a lover (True lover of Allah) constantly burns with the fire of love so much so that what ever intrudes upon its sanctity is reduced to ashes. A sin committed does not harm an individual so much as the looking down upon one's own fellow beings. Of all the worship that pleases Almighty Allah, the best is the grant of relief to the humble and the oppressed. Performance of charity is the key of attaining the state of generosity. One who does not perform devotion to Allah is engaged in the career of attaining a sinful earning. There are four fundamental virtues of the individual self : Firstly refraining from begging in the state of penury. Secondly, showing the attitude of the well-fed when feeling hungry. Thirdly, maintaining cheerfulness in the time of sorrow, Fourthly, befriending in the enemy. That man is true devotee of Almighty Allah, who resigns with pleasure to the misfortune that comes from his beloved (Almighty Allah). The path of love of God is such a path that who so ever steps into it, loses himself. For a follower of the path of truth it is worse than a sin to disdain or look down upon any one. Those who are true Lovers of God give away both of the worlds for the sake of their Beloved and even then feel that they have done nothing worthy. Perfection in faith is evident by three things : (1) Fear (2) Hope (3) Love

Some excellent articles and posts on the Karamats of Hadrat Khwaja e Khwajgaan Garibun Nawaz Radi Allahu anhu.
The most outstanding Karamat of all is the fact that Hadrat Khwaja Saheb Radi Allahu anhu was ordained by the Blessed and Noble Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam to travel to the Sub continent and spread the true message of Islam. With the blessings of the Mercy of All Mankind Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam Hadrat Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz Radi Allahu anhu converted millions of idol worshippers, mushriks, bhut pujaris to surrender to the ONE ALMIGHTY LORD AND CREATOR OF ALL THE WORLDS. This outstanding Friend of the Almighty achieved this mighty 'karamah' miracle without compromising the Shariat or accepting other faiths.
Truly the lives of all the Awliya Allah is a great lesson for the future generations to come.
Charagai Chist shahai Awliya Gareeb Nawaaz.....

A friend of God must be generous like a river. We all get water from the river to quench our thirst. It does not discriminate whether we are good or bad or whether we are a relation or a stranger.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuSubhan Allah, all excellent post on Hadrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Chisti , Sanjri, Ajmeri Rehmatullahi ’AlaihI have been to Ajmer sharif, in the 80's. It wasnt the urs time, but still it was a very spiritual experience and an enlightning one for me personally. The journey to Ajmer was hard/rough and long, but was worth it in the end, If you have experienced beggers in India, then it is nothing compared to the poor and needy flocking to the shrine of Khwaja Garib Nawaz Rehmatullahi ’Alaih the great Wali of the poor! Lavish hospitality While Khwaja Moinuddin Chisty Rehmatullahi ’Alaih used to eat a dried piece of barly bread, soaked in water, weighing 5 misqaals (2 and half tola's) after several days, his cook used to prepare daily in his kitchen as much food as suffered to feed all the destitute and poor people of the whole city of Ajmer. Every morning his cook used to come to him for the days expenses of his kitchen and khwaja Sahib used to lift a corner of his prayer rug and ask the cook to take away strictly as much money as he needed only for that day's provision's and no more. It must be recalled that general feeding was recognised custom of all the leading Sufi Saints who themselves lived an extremely simple and asutere life but whose hospitality was proverbial and knew no bounds. It must also be remembered that these Sufi Saints, with such poor food and strictly austere living, had usually long span of life and kept excellent health too. Our modern scientist and doctors will, no doubt, be puzzled to find out the secret of such living.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuA Prediction One day a mureed of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Rehmatullahi ’Alaih came to him and complained; "Sir, the governor of this city has made my life most miserable by intolerable harassment so much so that today, he has ordered my banishment from the city." Khwaja sahib Rehmatullahi ’Alaih replied; " But where is he now, he has already been punished by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala?" When the man returned home he heard the news of the governor's sudden death due to a fall from his horse while hunting. To be continued....

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuRegard For His Pir's Tomb. One day Khwaja Moinuddin Rehmatullahi ’Alaih was delivering a lecture to an audience, but whenever his eyes turned towards his right, he stood up for a while and then resumed his discourse again. This happened several times during his sermon. When the function was over and the people had dispersed, some of his close devotees ventured to enquire about the incident of his standing up so often during the lecture. Khwaja Sahib Rehmatullahi ’Alaihreplied: "On that side, there was my Pir-O-Murshid's Mazaar (tomb), and whenever I saw in that direction it came before my eyes so I used to stand up out of the great respect I have for the manner of My Pir". Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuMilk from an Immature Cow On day Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Rehmatullahi ’Alaih was sitting on the bank of the Anasagar lake in Ajmer. A shepherd boy happened to pass before him with a herd of young cows who had not yet acquired their maturity. Khwaja Sahib Rehmatullahi ’Alaih asked the boy for some milk from his herd. The boy took it as a joke and said: " Baba, they are all young kind, of an immature age; they do not yield any milk at this age." Khawaja Sahib smiled and, pointing toward a young cow, said: " I would like to drink the milk of that cow. Go and milk her." The boy obeyed rather hesitatingly. When he went to milk this particular cow, he was simply astounded to find her teats fully developed and over-flowing with milk. The boy filled several containers with milk which 40 people drank to their full satisfaction. He was so much impressed by this strange 'Karamh' that he became a devotee of the great Wali of Allah.
