Assalamu alaikum,
Some muslims say that salaatul ghuasia cannot be prayed without ijaazat (permission_from a sheikh/peer)
Some say it can be performed on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9 th and 11th of rabiul sani
Some say that it can be prayed on any day of the year.
Has anyone offered this prayer and if so have they had positive results. Which of the above are true?

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuI think, like most things brother, if you are competent and able then theres no reason why one cant pray the Qasaid. I fully understand why some ulama and shaykhs would want to give ijazah first. I think a lot depends on the circumstances on the state of mind of the seeker. I personally havent read it, because i feel i am not fully compliant in my ownself to be able pray it successfully in the given format. I think this is the key, if you havent the right intention or frame of mind then dont attempt it until you are or seek further advice from a qualified shaykh.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
this is one of the dangers of the internet, people because they join forums think they can do as they please regarding islam. unless you acquired the right knowledge, then you are right brother thc to have some caution. seek advice and use it in all matters. this is one of the reasons why i joined this forum because if you dont know you can ask the imam sahb.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuI have offered this prayer and I was fulfilled of my wishes! Salaatul Ghausiyya is a proven method of obtaining fulfillment of one's needs and prayers. Obviously the strict criteria is the same of any Salaat, Full Guzal and wudhu, clean pak clothes.... I read it on an edition of Siratul Muslimeen, how to pray and what to pray, no mention of asking Ijazaat from one's shaykh, but if you do have doubts please do ask the Imam as I am no scholar. The full method of praying is also on the opening page of this website, and i have copied and pasted it on the Giayrwih Sharif thread!
