HAZRAT SAYYIDUNA
ABU HURAIRAH
(RADI ALLAHU ANHU) Name: There are numerous narrations about his name, but one narration says that his name was Abdur Rahmaan. Title: Abu Hurairah About Him: He is a well known companion of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). Narrations explain that he was known as Abu Hurairah (Father of Kittens), because he always kept a kitten with him. One narration says that once he had a kitten in his sleeve and the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) saw this and called him Abu Hurairah. He spent all or most of his time in the Court of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). His mother was against Islam initially, but later accepted Islam through the Duaa of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).? From Amongst the Sahaba-e-Kiraam, the most Ahadith are narrated from him. Initially, he had a very weak memory. He informed the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) of this. Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) asked him to place his shawl on the ground. The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) then placed his hands into his shawl twice and asked him to place the shawl to his chest. From this day on, he never forgot any Hadith. He narrated 5374 Ahadith of which 305 have been recorded by both Bukhari and Muslim. Wisaal: Even though he spent most of his time learning Hadith, he prayed 1000 rakaats of nafil daily. He always made the following dua, ?O Allah, I ask refuge from the year 60 Hijri and the rule of boys.? His dua was accepted and he passed away in the year 59 Hijri, one year before the Rule of Yazeed Paleed.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Mashallah, their is a certain amount of respect and warmth when reading a hadith from Hazrat Abu Harairah (Radi Allahu anhu). Over 5000 hadiths narrated, shows a lot of time spent in the company of the Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam).

The Prophet Muhammad (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) only said this once but Hadrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah bre pleased with Him) loved the Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) so much this, that he went round repeating what the Prophet Muhammad (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) called Him " I am Abu Hurairah" and eventually people forget His real name. A true diwana of the Blessed Prophet Muhammad (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam).
