Sayyedina Umar Radi Allahu anhu Hajre aswad kissed the stone they said you cannot harm anyone nor you can benefit anyone I am only kissing you because I have seen Rasoolallah (SalAllaho Alahi WaAlehi Wasalam) kiss you.
Maula Ali (Radi Allah Anhu) said "no, It gives favour and harm both.
Sayyedina Umar Radi Allahu anhu asked for a daleel, Maula Ali (Radi Allah Anhu) quoted this ayat from quran :
Kanz-ul-Eeman
And O beloved Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam remember, when your Lord brought forth from the loin of Adam's children their seed and made themselves witnesses against own selves,' 'Am not your Lord? All said, 'Why not we all bear witness', lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, that we were not aware of it.
Then Allah created Hazrat Adam, and Allah caressed his hand ( Shaan ke Laaik) over the back of Hazrat Adam (Alahe Salam) and took pledged from hazrat adam (Alahe Salam) that I am your Lord and wrote it on a paper. The stone had 2 eyes and a tongue, Allah told that stone to open its mouth and Allah put that paper in its mouth and said to the stone to give testimony of the sincere people on the judgement day.
And Hazrat Ali Radi Allahu anhu said " I testify that I have heard Rasool Allah (SalAllaho Alahi WaAlehi Wasalam) saying Hajre Aswad will be brought on the Day of Judgement and it will testify of those people who showed respect to it. O Ameer ul Momineen (Hazrat Omar Radi Allahu anhu), Hajre Aswad gives benefit and loss both.
Hazrat Omar (Radi Allah Anhu) replied: I take refuge with Allah from those people in which you are not present O Abul Hasan Radi Allahu anhu !
SubhanAllah
