Assalam-o-alaikum Everyone. I have just joined this forum and would like your assistance in clearing a few of my blurred concepts. Until recently I had no idea what sufism was. It was only a few weeks earlier that I heard about Hazarat Khawaja Gharib Nawaz of Ajmeer Sharif and was drawn towards this entire school of thought. I did some research on the personality and life of the Holy Saint, and was really really impressed. It is now that I have started to revere him and suddenly this desire of visiting ajmeer Sharif has risen in my heart. But I live in Pakistan and am a student, therefore Presently I do not have the resources to visit the shrine. My devotion for Hazarat Gharib Nawaz is increasing day by day and I pray that Allah grants me a chance to be at the Holy Dargah. I have even seen the shrine in my dream. Anyway, Can someone clear the following concepts for me. 1: Is it permissible in Islam to keep mannat? 2: Gharib Nawaz's shrine is in Rajisthan, can someone keep a mannat through his medium by being in another country or is it necessay to be physically present at the darbar? If yes, then what is the correct method? 3: Do the deceased AWLIYA ALLAH get to know about our neeyat and mannat? 4: Is it right/ok to recite Fatiha for the isaal-esawab of Sufi saints? kindly explicate these points for me. Thanks.

Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu It is best that you put your questions in the Ask Imaam section to get more elaborate answers:- ashraf786.proboards15.com/index.cgi?board=questionsIn the meantime, for your questions there is a simple solution: Do Isaal-esawab for the Blessed Awliyaa regularly and and they will have a special Nigaahe Karam upon you. This only act can be the answer to all your questions . Hope this be helpful

Question No 4: Is it right/ok to recite Fatiha for the isaal-esawab of Sufi saints?
Answer
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah Radi Allahu Ta'alaa Anhu reported that Sayyidinah Rasoolullah Sallal Laahu Ta'alaa Alaihe Wa Sallam said that Allah Jallasha'nu-Hu exalted the status of one of His Pious servants:
“…fa-yaqulu: ‘yaa Rabbi annaa haadhihi ’, fa-yaqulu: ‘bi istighfaari waladika lak(a)’ ”(Mishkaat, pp. 256)
He [the servant] asks, “O’ my Lord , why is this [exaltation of status] done for me?”
He [Allah Jallasha'nu-Hu] replies, “Due to your son’s seeking of forgiveness for you.”
It is evident from this Hadith that supplicating for the seeking of forgiveness (via Isaale sawaab) in the favour of a Pious person, or for a Saint, is a means of elevating his status, and if the same is done in the favour of a sinful person, then that becomes a means of easement, rather vindication of punishment from him.

ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
When we observe The Auspicious Eleventh (Gyarahwin Shareef), in which we recite Qur'an Shareef, we perform remembrance of Allah (zikrullah) recite Salutations on the Beloved Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'alaa Alaihe Wa Sallam and send the reward to the pious souls of the Awliyah, despite the fact that they have attained salvation due to the generosity (fazl and karam) of Allah Jallasha'nu-Hu. Due to our recitations Allah Jallasha'nu-Hu elevates their already elevated status and they become happy. This is a great act for we have not seen Shaykh Abd al-Qaadir Jilaani Radi Allahu Ta'alaa Anhu but we have pleased him. Is this something ordinary? No it is a meritorious act for if an Intimate Of Allah becomes pleased then Allah Jallasha'nu-Hu is pleased. If we present gifts (hadiya) to Hazrath Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti Radi Allahu Ta'alaa Anhu, the companions (sahaaba) of the Beloved Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'alaa Alaihe Wa Sallam , the Purified People Of His Household (Ahle Bayt e Athaar) and Awliyah and due to this their already elevated status is further elevated then they get pleased. This is beneficial for us. Whatever we present to the deceased, they are rewarded and we are also rewarded. If we constantly please them will they not give us a return for our favour on them? The reward for Good Done With Ones Property, Words And Acts is ihsaan. On the Day Of Reckoning the Awliya whom we remembered and pleased will hold our hands and say, ‘O My Disciple (mureed)! O My Lover (muhibb)! You pleased me while you were in the world, let me please you on this day.’ They will intercede for us in the presence of Allah Jallasha'nu-Hu and gain salvation for us. Those who stop us from these remembrances are the enemies of Awliyah.

after all this i am going to say keeping a mannat at a darbar of a walli is NOT wrong becouse allah says in the quran ask my wali for help and dont challange them so there is nothing wrong in that isaal-esawab of Sufi saints : - if you are a pur sunni then there is nothing wrong with doing isaal-easwab there many hadees on it
Wali allah know you neeats if your going with a opend heart or if your going just to cheak up on them
