STORIES FROM ANYONE THAT HAS SUFFERED ABUSE SINCE LONDON BOMBINGS
I am looking for personal stories on behalf of a mainstream newspaper from anyone that has suffered racial or religious abuse, particularly since the London bombings. Please contact me if you have been attacked and would like your story highlighted.
Equally, I would be happy to hear from any other British Muslim who has a story on any subject not connected to the London bombings, but which they feel is important in some way, and which they want to tell. The piece would be written entirely from their point of view, in the first person, and with no spin or side to it.
I am just looking for compelling first-person stories. I'm also looking for people who have inherited something of sentimental value which they'd be happy to talk about. It doesn't matter how small the object - in some ways the smaller the better - it just has to mean a lot to them, and somehow act as a starting point for their memory of the person who left it to them.
If you are interested please contact Shaista Gohir at Muslim Voice UK on 08712 777 125 or e-mail: contact@mvuk.co.uk

A good idea!
I think a lot of incidents are not highlighted as they are not being reported and not only just the muslim community but the asian community as a whole did /are suffering in silence. May be a Muslim voice listining would be easier to relate to than a non/muslim.

Why should the Police be sympathetic when we already know they are overwhelmingly racist as are the cps and court system. Attitudes will not change no matter how loud they they speak.
