Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam What I have in relation to black magic from the book Ta'bir-ar-Ru'yah, by Hadrat Ibn-e-Sirin Rehmatullahi ’Alaih .. it states that, a person who sees black magic being done in a dream is a mischievious act. If someone sees in a dream that he is performing black magic, it means that he will perform a false and mischievious act. According to some interpreters it is regarded as mischief for the person for whom it is done. Hadrat Jabir Maghribi Radi Allahu anhu has stated that to perform black magic in a dream is a false promise, to whom he will do fraud with people, and black magic in a dream is regarded as a fraudster. Hadrat Ja'far Sadiq Radi Allahu anhu has stated there are 6 reasons for performing black magic in a dream: 1) Mischief
2) fraud
3) laughter
4) fear
5) false and lies
6) A baseless act So from the above information given to us, the person who is performing the black magic in your dream is 'regarded as a fraudster.' Whether that 'black magic' has taken effect or not is a different matter, but such baseless deeds should not even affect those people who are united with the Almighty, by praying salah, keeping sawm, giving zakah, performing the Hajj, and doing all other righteous deeds, related to the sunnah of the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM.
