Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam What you have heard is not true, unless it can be proven otherwise. There is not a single Companion [Allah be pleased with them all] of the Beloved Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, who told other Companions not to make
bait [oath] with any of the Amir-al-Mu'minin [leader of the believers].
Nor did Hadrat 'Abdullah ibn-e-'Umar
Radi Allahu anhuhave a bad relationship with any of the Ahl-al-Bayt [family of the Prophet
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam].
People tend to blame some of the Noble Companions
Radi Allahu ta'ala anhum of the Beloved Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, where there had been a conflict of interest in a particular issue. I can assure you that this only happened to preserve the status of the Ahl-al-Bayt, and to administer functions for the betterment of the people as a whole.
Because Hadrat Ibn-e-Umar
Radi Allahu anhu, never disputed any of the
khilafat issues, to which many innovators in that time did, nor did he ever take part in any contoversial battle (
fitnah), nor did he ever take part with Hadrat 'Ali
Radi Allahu anhu in any of his battles (although he did express relent for not taking part in any of the battles with Hadrat 'Ali
Radi Allahu anhu, afterwards), people tend to think that it is alright to criticise them as and when they wish. This is false, and should be steered away from, especially when the Beloved Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam had himself spoken about the excellences of His own Companions.
We were not one of the Companions so we should never try to assume things, or doubt things, and make great issues out of them, which create differences. Rather we should be patient, and imagine and have belief that there was the wisdom of Allah the Almighty why something happened, or something did not happen.
Hadrat Abdullah-ibn-'Umar did not make
bayt with Hadrat 'Ali
Radi Allahu anhu as mentioned above because he did not take part in any of the issues that were taking place at that time. Nor did he make
bait to Yazid, and Amir-e-Mu'awiyyah
Radi Allahu anhu. He had lived as a Companion of the Beloved Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam long before Yazid, and Hadrat Amir-e-Mu'awiyyah
Radi Allahu anhu, and had is own status, as a Sahabi. In addition there were many Muslims who did not take part on either side, and were more or less neutral, but that does not compel them to take sides with anybody. So to blame any of them, will be no justice.
As for the non mentioning of the twelve Imams, then not even all of them existed in his time, most of them came after his time, so that is another false accusation.
Jazak'allah for your question.
