Assalam-o-Alaikum,
I remember once in college someone put wahabi books in the prayer room and without the Ameer's permission too and so i removed them and threw them away. What is the position of the scholars in this and what should i do?
JazakAllah Khair.
Walaikum us salaam

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam We are not compelled to throw books of other beliefs away, simply because they may contain information which maybe useful, or upon which action could be taken. However, if you threw away the books because they contained libel, slander, dishonour, degradation or lies against Allah the Almighty, any of His Beloved prophets Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, against the angels, the Khulafa', pious predecessors, or saints (awliya'), then you had done the right thing. This is because you will be preventing other Muslims and non-Muslims from reading lies and misbelief. Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
