Iddat period after Khula divorce

Could you please tell me what the Iddat period is for a woman who is proceeding with a Khula divorce in which the marriage was never consummated?

Jazak'allah for your valued question. It is normally a three month iddat period for a woman who has proceeded with a khul'a divorce, even though the marriage was never consummated. The Qur'an al kareem states:

'Wal mutallaqatu yatarabbasna bi anfusi hinna thalathata quru''

'And the divorced women shall remain in waiting for three iddats'

This is the general rule which is applied to your question.
