Assalamu Alaikum
Dear Imam Hope you are well, and in Allah's satisfaction.
I met a Majzub e Ilaahi, he in fact is a very "lost" in his love for Allah and Nabi Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, in deed a very great personality, you can feel it in his presence. He gave to me and my friend a Book, Dalail Ul Khairaat, and gave ijaazat to read it.
I woul like to know more about this amal. What is, and what are the fazaail of it.
Wassalaam

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam The Dala'il-ul-Khayrat has many benefits, and excellences pertaining to it. Here is a brief summary: 1) It is the dhikr of Allah, which is also the name of the Blessed Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, so you are reciting the dhikr of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. 2) Anyone who does not recite the dhikr of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is alive in the eyes of the people, but in reality he is dead according to those who are godwary. 3) The moments of life which are eternal are only those which are spent in the dhikr of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala4) The time spent not in the dhikr of Allah the Almighty are perishable, and unpurposeful, subject to shame. 5) The heart gains tranquility, and harmony from the dhikr of Allah the Almighty, and until it doesnt, it remains depressed, and sorrowful. 6) Allah the Almighty states 'You remember me and I will remember you', what a great opportunity to be remembered by ones lord. 7) Hadrat Thabit Bunani Rehmatullahi ’Alaih stated that 'I know when my lord remembers me', the people were astonished and asked 'how do you know that'? He replied: 'When I remember Him, He remembers me'. 8) The Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam has stated: 'Those who remember Allah the Almighty amongst the lazy ones are like that beautiful green tree amongst colourless grass'9) At another stage, the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam has stated: 'He who remembers Allah the Almighty is like he, who remains firm in the field of battle, as a mujahid, for the pleasure of Allah, to those who run from it.'10) Allah the Almighty states in a hadith-e-Qudsi: 'I remain with my serveant so long as he recites my dhikr, and so long as his lips move to my dhikr'.11) Allah the Almighty states in the Qur'an: 'Indeed Allah the Almighty His angels send blessings upon the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, oh you who are the believers, send salutations upon Him, and blessings, as much as possible.'These are a few of the benefits of reciting the dala'il-ul-Khayrat, which is compiled up of lots of durud sharifs, Insha'Allah, if I have the opportunity again, I will write more in relation to this. Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
