Assalamoualaikum.
While going to office in my cab I always read Durood-e-pak but there are other cab members who are listening filmi songs I never ask them to switch off the music I generally ask them to lower the volume So is it correct to read durood-e -pak while others are listining music & also generally my head is also not covered so can I read durood-e-pak with uncovered head as i read it every time.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam A very good question brother, something which may benefit other readers also. It is always best to recite Darood shareef with the proper respect and due courtesy adab. However, it isnt stated anywhere that you may not recite the Darood shareef without covering your hair [ topi], ... since you are 'at work.' Nor will you receive any sin for reciting it whilst not in the state of ablution. It should however not be recited whilst any type of music is playing in the background or in the same room. Darood shareef should be recited preferably, whilst you are on your own at work. A ja'iz [permissible] deed mixed with a na-ja'iz [impermissible] deed, does not make it in any way liked, or even excellent. If you practice a little patience (which you will be rewarded for also, as actions are based upon intentions), then start to recite the Darood shareef once you are out of the situation you described, i.e. out of the enviroment of music. May Allah the Almighty give us all the tawfiq, to recite abundant amounts of Darood, upon His Most Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam (Amin)Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
