Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa SallamSalaam, Imam Saab hope you are in great health and not being pestered too much with all the questions from us people! The users are growing and there are more questions piling up, maybe if we could have a 2nd Imam? I dunno... Anyways I just had a question regarding the hadith which goes something along these lines, The ulema of my ummat are like the prophets of Bani Israel,I was just wondering about the validity of this hadith or whether it is seen as a fabricated hadith! As I was on a different forum and I mentioned this hadith and they all began to attack me and then say this hadith mubarak is considered a fabrication. I have heard it several times, but cant really remember who the scholars are who quoted it, so am not sure now. Please can you advise me of the sunni view and the verdict of the majority of the ulema and Muhadditheen or which ever ranked alims deal with these issues! Jazakallahu khayrun.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam This hadith mubarak is not fabricated nor it is indecisive. It is narrated in a quiet a few hadith books, which some are: Badr-al-Munir page 214 Asna'al matalib page 184 hadith no. 5889 Fawa'id al Majmu'a and the Mawdhu'at, in which Imam Shawkani also narrates this. There is no way that this hadith is construed as being fabricated. Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
