The following petition was sent to me via email for Eid Milad un Nabi Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam to become a National Holiday in the UK InshAllah

whats wrong with asking for an extra day to celebrate eid-e-milad? we don't have any national holidays for Islam so this would be a good point.

Well I think this is a non muslim country if every other religion started asking for their days to be included in national holidays then I think we'd be enjoying more holidays then working.
Eid milaad un nabi is celebrated on the weekends anyways, and so is the jaloos taken out.
Even if we do all sign the petition there is no way its going to happen.
Its just going to make muslims fit into peoples stereo typical views, that muslims kick off big fusses about everything and want everything their own way.
So i think we shouldnt put our hope to high in this country.

Eid milaad un nabi is celebrated on the weekends anyways, and so is the jaloos taken out. its celebrated on weekends cuz nobody has a day off in weekdays!
