Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Respected Imaam sahib, I have a friend who is a mureed of Hazrat Shaykh Ul Islam and took bayah at a very young age (8) and she went to see Shaykh Mummad Yacqobi over the weekend and she felt a connection because shes never really sat in the presence of a shaykh before, and someone who did a speech, she was very enlightened by the speech, especially since the topic was Shaykh and Mureed, but has come back confused. Since she felt a connection, she didnt understand why her parents made her take bayah so young because she wanted to take bayah with a shaykh who speaks english and she wanted a connection, is there anything she can read to get a connection with her Shaykh?
I already told her that she can be talib of another shaykh but cannot break her bayah and that if she doesnt feel a connection, its probably a fault on her part not making an effort beforehand, which she agreed is also true.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam To make a bay'ah at a very young age accompanied by your parents meant the best for you. What is all this about wanting to break your bay'ah, and start again, just because someone speaks English. You must stick with your shaykh, obey him, and once you have done this, only then is it that you may qualify to become a 'talib' of another shaykh. You must however complete your obedience with the first shaykh, and then not withstanding any doubt of who your shaykh is, become a talib of another shaykh. Remember, this is not a game, that you can switch from one shaykh to another like the weather, but you must be faithful to whom you have sworn to first. Being part of the questioner, you have a duty to explain all this to your sister, and try to convince her, that what I have said is true. That by not adhering to the information I have given to you, that she may neglect everything, and be deprived of what she originally intended for. Jazak'allah for your question.
