Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
i was wondering if any of the members were talib-e-bayt of anyone and if so then why they chose to become so.
i'm am just a murid a my beloved pir Hazrat Shaykh-Ul-Islam and would probably become talib-e-bayt of Hazrat Ghazzi-E-Milat if i was going to do talib-e-bayt.
at the moment i'm happy as i am though.
please do share your own experiences and if you haven't become a talib-e-bayt who you would likely do it with.
Jazakallah Khair
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

the spelling doesn't matter as you understand what i'm talking about and bayt/bayaah aren't initially english words so it doesn't really matter how we spell it.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuBack to the subject as you all have gone off tangent Talib e bayah is allowed if one sees or is connected to a great wali of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala then he /she can make the connection and do bayah. I know many that have taken bayah and got faiz from both from their first murshid as well as the murshid that they have done talib e bayah with Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

i just remembered a post where brother musafir said bayt is a house i'm still not modifying unless brother musafir tells me off I wont be telling anyone off Although Ohusi is right. PS This type of bayah is ideally for students(to take from a teacher of deen that they may be studying under) and for baraka only. Otherwise just stick to your own shaykh as you are guided in tassawwuf according to the principles of his silsila e tariqat only.

there is a promblem that is in the way though and it is very personal Why dont you ask someone if this problem will affect your potential bayah with a shaikh?(ask in brothers section or if not ,then PM a learned member of forum). If your heart is set on Hadrat Madni Mian sahib then i would urge you to take bayah whilst the shaikh is in uk. It would be an exellent choice and the fact that the shaikh is Syed doubles the blessing.
