Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
JAZZALLAHU ANNA SAYYEDINA MUHAMMADAN MA HUWA AHLAHU
MANAM SAGHE DARBARE JILANI
Hadrat Sayyedina Khwaja Nasiruddin Mehmood Chiraghe dehalvi (alaihir rahmah) came to Delhi at the age of 43 years and joined the circle of Hadrat Sayyeidna Khwaja Nizaamuddin Awliya's (alaihir rahmah) mureeds. One day while Hadrat Nizaamuddin (alaihir rahmah) was descending from his hujra at the top of his Khanqah, he noticed that Sayyedina Sheikh Khwaja Nasiruddin Mahmood (alaihir rahmah) was standing in a despondent mood under the shade of a nearby tree. He sent for him through his attendant and took him in privacy to have a talk about his condition. After a brief self-introduction, Hadrat Sayyedina Khwaja Nasiruddin (alaihir rahmah) said: "Sir, I have come here to help the dervishes in putting on their shoes." This one sentence was enough to confirm his humble character and keenness for a spiritual career and also to win the affection of Hadrat Sayyedina Khwaja Nizaamuddin Awliya (alaihir rahmah) who related his own story of devotion to his Peer-o-Murshid in the beginning of his career. He then became mureed at the hands of Hadrat Sayyedina Khwaja Nizaamuddin Awliya (alaihir rahmah) and devoted himself whole-heartedly to the service of his Peer-o-Murshid.
SubhanAllah.
I just wish to add couplet from my beloved Shaykh :
Nizam chahe khusro ko , Allah Chahe Nusro ko
Ilahi tabuwad khurshid o mahey chiraghe chistiya raa roshnaee

Alhamdulillah. Jazakallah Sayyid Sahib. No doubt, humbleness is one of the foundations for wilayah especially in the Court of the Awliya.

Assalaam o alaikum i would lik to share an incident of Mehboob e Ilaahi which is very close to my heart
Once in a gathering, Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Radi Allahu anhu (mehboob e ilaahi) told Hazrat Amir KhusroRadi Allahu anhu to go attend the gathering of Hazrat Bu Ali Shah Qalander Radi Allahu anhu (and take its faiz). Accordingly Hazrat Amir Khusro started attending the gatherings held every Thursdays. Once Hazrat Bu Ali Shah Qalander Radi Allahu anhu called Hazrat Amir Khusro and said that every time I sit in Rasoolallah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam presence, with the other saints, I never see your Shaykh, Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Radi Allahu anhu. On hearing this Hazrat Amir khusro was heartbroken. Although he still attended both gatherings of Hazrat Mehboob e ilaahi and that of Hazrat Bu Ali Shah Qalander, but he became depressed and receded. Hazrat Mehboob e ilaahi obviously had its knowledge, so one day he called Hazrat Amir khusro and asked the problem, Hazrat Amir Khusro said what Hazrat Bu Ali Shah Qalander had said earlier. Hazrat Mehboob e ilaahi told him to go back to Hazrat Bu Ali Shah Qalander and ask him to take you there directly into the presence of Rasoolallah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam and that you would find your Shaykh yourself. Amir Khusro did as he was directed. Hazrat Bu Ali Shah Qalander kept his dast e mubarak on Amir Khusro's heart and took him to Rasoolallah’s Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam presence. But, wherever he saw he just couldn’t find Mehboob e ilaahi . At first he searched the first level (gathering of saints), and then to the third and then the fourth and then all the way to the last level. On each level Sarwar e Ambiya Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam would inquire Hazrat Amir Khusro of his visit there, after which Hazrat Amir Khusro would search for Mehboob e Ilaahi. On every level, Rasoolallah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam would tell him to go to a higher level. Finally he reached the last and the highest level of sainthood and after thoroughly searching there, didn't find Mehboob e Ilaahi there either. Now, Hazrat Amir Khusro was totally washed out and depressed beyond consolation. But, as he was returning to come back, The Beloved Prophet Rasoolallah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam once again inquired of Amir Khusro the purpose of his visit there and then called Amir Khusro's attention to a veil right before the Noble Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) Rasoolallah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam and told him to see who lay behind it...lo and behold! Therein, sat Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya(Mehboob e ilaahi) himself! And then above Hazrat Mehboob e Ilaahi sat Huzoor Ghous ul Azam Datageer Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gilani Shainlillah (Mehboob e Subhaani)! Hazrat Amir Khusro screamed in delight and tried to rush towards his Shaykh, but at that moment Hazrat Bu Ali Shah Qalander removed his hand and brought him back. It was after this that Hazrat Amir Khusro wrote:- Nami danam chi manzil bood shab jaay ki man boodam; Baharsu raqs-e bismil bood shab jaay ki man boodam. Pari paikar nigaar-e sarw qadde laala rukhsare; Sarapa aafat-e dil bood shab jaay ki man boodam. Khuda khud meer-e majlis bood andar laamakan Khusrau; Muhammad shamm-e mehfil bood shab jaay ki man boodam. I wonder what was the place where I was last night, All around me were half-slaughtered victims of love, tossing about in agony. There was a nymph-like beloved with cypress-like form and tulip-like face, Ruthlessly playing havoc with the hearts of the lovers. God himself was the master of ceremonies in that heavenly court, oh Khusro, where (the face of) the Prophet too was shedding light like a candle
